My fiancé and I had a wonderful stay at Parayso. We knew when booking it was a simple hotel without many frills, but our expectations were exceeded. The rooms have ocean views with double doors leading out to a balcony and the beach is amazing! The rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. The staff was very helpful, especially Aldo, who went out of his way to make sure we were looked after and helped in any way he could to make our stay extra special. Thank you!
I would definitely stay here again. Great value for money!
Just stayed here for 1 night whilst travelling around the peninsula. Could have stayed longer. Lovely small hotel consisting of small blocks among the palms and next to the beach. Staff were welcoming, restaurant was good and area made a refreshing change from high-rise blocks of Cancun.

We stayed 3 nights and had a wonderful time. Staff were great, Frederico was a superstar at the restaurant! The rooms are spacious, quiet and well appointed for the area. Not the cheapest place to stay but worth the money.

Lets start with the awe inspiring entrance and smells of incense in the lobby. The cool wash cloth and cold cucumber and mint water awaiting my husband and I were well recieved after a 90 minute drive from Cancun. The staff were/are AMAZINGLY attentive. Goudy carried our bags while he gave us a tour of the property on the way to our room. The room was in Villa 4 with a partial ocean view. It was clean and very cold.
People have complained about the music at the pool, but it was welcomed for us. They are in transition from a gay resort to a wellness one. The music only plays until 6pm, however, the view from the infinity pool and the sound of the waves crashing against the rocks was so AMAZING, that it was easy to block out the dance music until a good song came on.
The food was AMAZING. You could eat from the buffet, or order off of rotating menus with a Japanese, Italian, or Mexican theme, or you could do both a buffet and order off the menu. Alcoholic drinks are all included, except if you want a bottle of wine or champagne. The food is so fresh, tastes great, and a total experience you must enjoy everyday. At breakfast I recommend the huevos rancheros and a cappuccino - AMAZING.
In short, beautiful grounds with free WiFi in the game room, spectacular view of the Carribean Sea, and close proximity to the Coba and Tulum ruins. Public beach access is just down the road. And there is a huge sense of security, because the police are posted outside the front gates.
HIP Hotel was just what I needed to get away for a week in the sun. The last week of September seems to be the week that all the hotels on this particular strip in Tulum are fixing up. So it was very quiet, no frantic vacationers running here & there. The hotel's restaurant was very good, not horribly expensive and the service was great. All around a great choice for a quiet week.

Would recommend if you're planning to experience Tulum Playa. We stayed 3 nights in room 22 beachside and it was surrounded by lush green and just steps down a small path to the beach. This hotel is a part of The Beach Tulum and is also associated with Ziggy's restaurant. Each morning we had a complimentary breakfast at Ziggy's and was a huge plus to be able to start our day with a beachside breakfast and a quick email catch-up with their complimentary internet. Location is toward the middle of the beach zone and an easy walk up or down the beach to the various restaurants and resorts. Only complaint was from my wife, who wanted hot water instead of the warm water from their showers. Other than that, we'd return in a heartbeat if we come back.
We stayed here for 3 days while travelling around tulum. My wife and I thought that this hotel was the nicest out of all the hotels we stayed at on our trip. Comfortable beds, nice staff, Coffee, AC, flat screen television.
A little bit of a walk from town, but we enjoyed walking and there is a great tacos al pastor across the street as well as a nice fish restaurant right across the street. Not sure but I think it is the one that was reviewed in NY time but not named.
Highly recommended if you pre book online to save 50% of the listed price at the hotel, and dont mind walking a little bit - 10 mins slow 5 fast from the end of the sidewalk
