"Great location, but rough around the edges"
Location is remote and out of the crowds, rocky beach in front of the hotel, sandy beach a very sort walk north, two small cenotes on site, and surrounded by turtle nesting grounds. Rent a car or be willing to take collectivos from the end of the road. Restaurant only open for breakfast and lunch, no breakfast menu and only snack menu for lunch, food was okay. The staff were friendly and helpful, only two spoke any English, one of whom spoke fluent English. Wifi available in the lobby. All the rooms are ocean front with great views and clean, however there was no TV, no fridge, no fresh running water, hot water was rare, and bats came in the slate windows at night. I recommend going into Tulum for a large jug of water and non-perishable foods (you'll need to seal them up so the ants don't get in them). All in all it was a good experience, we took the lack of TV, fridge, and water with a sense of humour, lots of freedom, we left the hotel every day to explore Tulum and Akumal, and I swam in the larger cenote three times.
