Staycation with family for Labor Day

Posted 02-Sep-2014
Pros: Amenities and staff.
Cons: Add a doughnut or low end complimentary breakfast. 15 dollars per person for breakfast buffet is above our budget.
Friendly staff, specifically, on check-in with my dog, i was told that the fee was 50.00, but when i mentioned that the Expedia site did not show any fees, the front desk clerk waived it. That is the hallmark of good customer service. The hotel is one of the nicest I have every stayed in, and the staff were all very friendly. I would tell all my friends to stay there.

Crown Plaza - Tulsa/Southern Hills

Posted 04-Aug-2014
When we were at the airport getting ready to depart for Tulsa, we read reviews on this Crown Plaza Hotel. Many of them were not encouraging or flattering at all. However, it was the last minute, there were two conventions in town over the weekend, and no other availability in the area we needed. We were pleasantly surprised, even with the motorcycle convention, and this hotel housed a large number of conventioneers (and their bikes). The air conditioner worked very well, our room was clean, and except for the motorcycles coming and going in the front of the hotel, we were quite satisfied. The hotel appears to be an older property, needs new carpeting throughout, but the beds were comfortable, we had plenty of linens/towels, and it was clean.

Pros: Proximity to family
Cons: Room 921 needs to have shower drain fixed as it backs up with water during a shower.
Nice hotel right across street from Oral Roberts University. Rooms were clean. Disappointing that individual rooms did not have small refrigerators in room.

Great stay

Second year to stay here for the Mid America Ford and Shelby meet. Great place to stay and great place to pack a classic car and not have to worry about the safety of it!!

Hot & stuffy vs. Great Location

Posted 10-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
I have stayed at the Crown Plaza several times in the past, and have always enjoyed my stay. This time was a totally different story. It was incredibly hot and stuff. I couldn't stay in my hotel room without sweating. I called the front desk and requested a fan be brought up because the air conditioner would not cool the room even though it ran the entire three days I was there and never shut off. They brought the fan, but I do not believe anyone ever checked the air conditioner the whole time I was there. I believe the hotel is under new management. Hopefully they will figure things out and resume the quality of years past.

Wedding

Posted 06-Jun-2014 on Hotels.com
I rented eight rooms and provided the front desk with the names for each room. One of the rooms was given to a family member of a party on the list. That family member was not on the list. Consequently, an unrelated party to those previously mentioned, who was on the list did not receive a room.
