“Will not stay there again”

The odor greeting me as I walked in was terrible; I was informed by the woman at the front desk that air freshener had been sprayed in all the rooms that day and it was oppressive and I could not get fresh air except by opening the door because the windows do not open. The bathroom was clean but the ceiling in the shower was crumbling and needed repair-- leading me to speculate that the odor they were covering with the spray was mold. Water glasses were plastic and coffee cups were paper; front desk person said no ceramic cups and I got one myself from the bar. The bartender was very nice and the most service-oriented person on premises. Hotel advertising said they would shuttle guests to restaurants and close locations but the front desk person again said no, due to gas prices they do not do that. I had to get a taxi to take me 1-1/2 miles to my appointment the next day-- and the shuttle was idle. The driver of the shuttle was pleasant, but it looked like he lives at the hotel. Poor service, rundown property, terrible odor-- I have stayed in many Best Western's across the country, but certainly will never stay here again. Very disappointing.

“Tulsa Bargain”

Not a fancy hotel, but for the price it is hard to beat and it is very convenient to the airport

“TulsaBestWestern”

Great hotel that is not too far from the airport nor too near it. Great staff and good service. Only difficulty is the neighborhood that it is. Best to stay in at night or to drive out of the immediate area and then carefully drive to your hotel

Area recommendations
We have just recently move to OK and do not know Tulsa well enough to recommend a good neighborhood. Would recommend seeing the Philmore and Gilcrest museums and the gardens. The Oklahoma Aquarium was good but it was not the highlight of our trip. The restaurant in the Philmore was moderately priced with chief quality food and service.
When to go
When its hot but you don't have enough money to get out of Oklahoma to go far enough north to get out of the heat.
Getting around
Better take a car or rent one.
Must see
Gilcrest and Philmore Museums.
Dining
The resteraunt in the Philmore Museum and Ollies Restaurant (It has toy trains, blimps, etc suspended from the ceiling, and a buffet ) in Sapulpa, OK (suburb of Tulsa, OK)
Family-friendly activities
The Oklahoma Aquarium is well suited to children but my wife and I didn't have the grands along on this trip. It could be skipped for an adults only event.

“Not worth it”

Upon entering my room I noticed room did not seem pulled together. Then going in bathroom toilet was dirty. Flushed toilet and it overflowed. Air did not work properly andwjen I called front desk for another room was told was full but didn't s full. Not a place to stay!

“Not impressed”

We did not have a very good experience because at about 1:45 am the door to the room next to us busted open and hit the wall twice. It sounded like 2 gunshots. It turned out to be two guys fighting about breaking up and not getting married. They were very loud and it upset my 2 year old. She started crying and had to get in bed with us to calm down. The breakfast buffet was not good at all. I'm not sure if the juice was bad or what because I got sick in the afternoon with diarrhea that lasted for 4 days.

“Great Value!”

The lounge down stairs is open til 2AM every night and they have different things going on throughout the week (specials, karaoke, etc...). The hot breakfast was pretty good for the price (free). Comfortable bed. Easy access to the airport.

“"I'll be back!"”

From touching down in Tulsa, the Best Western Airport took any stress completely out of my trip. Within 20 minutes of touchdown, thanks to the shuttles service, I was washing the flight from my face. The staff was courteous, pleasant and helpful with any questions or requests I had. The location, although not scenic, was centrally located to everything I wanted/needed to partake in while inTulsa. The rooms were clean and functional, the beds and pillows superior to most I have experienced. Next time I am in Tulsa, for business or pleasure, I'll choose the Best Western Airport. "I'll be back!"

“2ND Stay.. NEVER AGAIN!”

SECOND STAY.. UGH! I gave this place a try again, the first trip was OK, I liked the QuikTrip across the street. WELL, My room was GROSS! I dont think they care if it's clean or NOT if your a SMOKER! The AC/HEAT unit was broken and LOUD and the pieces were on the floor, noone bpthered to even pick up the broken pieces. They DID NOT clean the room, no housekeeping, I was told because there was a sock on the bed and they didnt want to touch our stuff?? Gimme a break! They moved us to a NON SMOKING room and the bed spreads were nicer, in fact everything was nicer AND we got housekeeping too. They get mad if you ask for extra towels and ALSO they told me the wireless works best on the first floor. My last stay I had a 2nd fl room and it didnt work, I had to pay 10 bucks for a plug! OH, The TVS are old and have NO cable stations! The breakfast is the only PLUS to staying there. ONE guy at the front desk was nice though, he took care of the problems when I had them... Probably wont go back though... Oh well.
