I booked this hotel through a booking agent. I wasn't expecting much for the price I paid but wow what a hotel.
There was ample room to park the grounds are vast and clean and well maintained.
Disabled access ramps are present and well maintained. The main entrance although small was welcoming.
The lady at reception was Scottish which believe it or not is a novelty in a Scottish hotel and was lovely. She explained all about the hotel and where to eat and what time the pool opened etc.
The reception lady showed me up to my room which was very spacious and lovey and warm.
There was a Jacuzzi bath with a good shower above, plenty of towels and robes with slippers, a good shampoo and shower gel and a a good mirror with light.
I ventured downstairs to the bar for dinner.
There was a large screen in the bar showing the evenings championship game with a roaring fire which was maintained regularly.
It had a good atmosphere and friendly staff.
The wine selection was great as was the whiskey selection.
The had a Louis Latour chardonnay which being from my favourite vineyard I had to have. It was chilled correctly, served in the correct glass and a chilled cooler was provided, well done Duchally.
I ordered the salmon starter. The lamb main and the Duchally mess dessert. All exceptional with the exception of the chips with lamb, they tasted a little strange and the dessert came in a large cocktail glass, without a plate. Now this would have been fine however the dessert had a lar
Despite having a troublesome youngster with us the hotel, and more importantly the staff, were absolutely brilliant and could not do enough for us, we just wish we could have stayed longer.
After a 5 hour drive the children were more than a little restless and yet it was no trouble to provide them with their tea, making a fuss with their ice creams.
Breakfast the next day was fantastic, and when we left something in the room their help was first class.
Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
We were warmly welcomed by Loraine and things just got better and better. The room was comfortable and well appointed and the breakfast was first class. We did not have another major meal until 7pm that evening! We would thoroughly recommend Allandale - well placed in the middle of the charming town of Auchterarder.
This is a wonderful place to stay. We visited for two nights to attend a friend's wedding and couldn't have asked for more. The room was incredible, with boutique style decor, the comfiest king size bed, a walk in wardrobe and a huge en suite with jacuzzi bath. Our friends also stayed and their room (although not en suite) was equally impressive with an amazing four poster bed. The manageress was lovely, gave us loads of useful advice and made a brilliant cooked breakfast. For £80 a night we couldn't believe how lovely this place is! Would highly recommend. Stay in the Victoria room if you can!
As soon as we arrived we were really impressed with the hotel. The reception staff were so polite and friendly and took the time to explain everything to us. We found all staff in the hotel to be happy to assist us with any request and certainly appreciated the way they made us feel welcome. The hotel seems to be very well staffed and that was very reassuring to see. The food was excellent and we couldn't help but be impressed at how well organised everything was especially at breakfast time when everyone seemed to be desperate for their tea & coffee etc.
I have only one minor grumble (something that affects me wherever I go) and that was the firmness of the mattress - it was just a little too firm for my back, but that would be my only negative remark about our room.
I would also like to pass on a comment made by my daughter who had one brief session in the "Big Country" kids club, unfortunately she didn't have the positive experience that we hoped she would have and it was later that she remarked that she felt the staff were too strict. Maybe this is something that they can take on board for future interactions with children in the 9-12 age bracket.
All in all we had a lovely time at the Crieff Hydro and would certainly like to stay there again.

"Can't wait to go back! Would definitely recommend!"
Can't wait to go back! Being a young couple we thought we might be a little out of place but I have to say we had the most fantastic stay at The Green Hotel. The staff were all very friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. We booked a standard room and it was massive! Very clean, modern and had everything you could need. The hotel was very easy to find, just off the M90. We ate in Basil's restaurant which is the 2 rosette one and the food was brilliant, you would assume it would come with a hefty price tag too, but the menu is set at £25.50 for 3 courses & coffee so very reasonably priced. We also ate in Jock's bar which is the pub inside the hotel, it serves food all day, with classic pub grub to choose from, everything we had was delicious. I had a hot stone massage at their in house spa, I have to say, it was amazing! I am now hooked for life! We also checked out the pool, jacuzzi, curling rink, and music venue, all of which are brilliant. Loch levern is only a 10 min walk away which has a small bistro serving carvery 7 days a week as well as having a boat service to the island in the middle of the loch which is home to the ruins of a castle. Qould recommend having a hire car, we went to cluny clays (30mins away) and had great fun having shooting lessons. This hotel is very deserving of its 4* rating, and should maybe even be a 5* would recommend it to everyone and we have already decided we would like to go back again in future :)

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Location is great, short walk to shops in Kinross and short bus trip to Edinburgh. The staff were all really friendly. The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was really nice and spacious too. Would have been nice to have a better view rather than the one we had of the hotel dumpster but we weren't in our room enough to care too much. The only big negative was that wifi was included but we could only get a low signal for it from our bedroom. We would have to access the web in the bathroom but even still it was not a great connection. The hotel stay included breakfast which was really good, great choice of food! Lots of car spots available too and didnt have to pay for parking which is an added bonus. we really enjoyed our stay here that we ended up extending it for an extra night.
