“Bad location”
Hotel was nice but very seedy part of town. OK if you stay at hotel, but we went for a walk and couldn't wait to get back to the hotel. Definately not a pleasant experience. On the other side , had the best Tiramisu at the restaurant at the hotel in all of Italy
“Will not return”
This hotel is in a timewarp. The exterior and interior all seem frozen in 1982. The room was clean but very strange. The room was huge, but felt cold and unpleasant. No minibar even though there was a sticker on the cabinet saying there was a minibar inside. The safe didn't work. The view out the window was of train tracks. The staff was courteous and efficient, however we had to leave our passports at the front desk for some reason. In the other hotels we stayed at in Italy, they took a photocopy and gave them back. We came back to get them half an hour after we checked in but they said they weren't done with them yet. (????) The grounds are lush and lovely - if only there was an effort to update the hotel's interior and exterior to match. Although I should note that the pool had so much green algae in it, there is no way I woud go in it. Lots of rules for the pool too (bathing cap has to be purchased, etc.).
“Nice hotel would go back”
This hotel is set in beautiful gardens with a very pleasant outdoor pool and impressive Gym. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the beds are enormous. Breakfast was good, but the evening meal was disappointing. Outside of the hotel looks a bit run down, but it is not unsafe or intimidating. Just 800 metres to the Railway Station and 20 minutes walk to Old Bari. I would happily stay there again.
“Fantastic quality”
The hotel was a perfect stop-over for 2 nights in Bari. The old town is just half an hour walk away and definitely worth it. The restaurant in the hotel is top quality, both breakfast and dinner being one of the best we had in Puglia. The restaurant staff were very friendly and welcoming.
“Lovely Hotel”
We had a fleeting visit to Bari as a stop over between Naples and the ferry to Dubrovnik. We are so glad that we booked this hotel. The staff were brilliant, the hotel room amazing and the hotel itself was more like a mini resort with lovely gardens, a pool and a terrace restaurant and bar. Due to the nature of our stay we did not visit the town so it is difficult to make any recommendations about it but if like us this is a stop over for the night then this would be the place to stay.
“Best hotel in Bari.”
The hotel was beautiful and additional improvements were being made. The staff was courteous and always available to meet yours needs. We love the pool and the fitness center met our needs.
“Not impressed - tired and impersonal”
I was disappointed with this hotel as I have stayed in many Accor/Mercure hotels before and they have been very nice. The room was huge but it was impersonal and very tired. The wardrobes looked like grey filing cabinets and the bed and pillow were very hard. The room had a musty smell. Breakfast was reasonable - the usual continental breakfast with some hot food choices - but not included in the price. The location was good, near to the station and the city centre so it was convienient
“inexpensive and good!”
The Hotel is centrally located in Bari, not far from the railroad station. An easy walk to the old Historic district. it turns out to have a very good resataurant on the premises, enjoying the local food at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is plain.
“Bari's best !”
The hotel is quite far from the old part of Bari, but the best hotel to stay in, in that area. The hotel is big with some nice gardens to walk around, an outdoor pool and a hydro pool and sauna which we made use off. The breakfast is fantastic, we also ate there in the evening because it was so delicious. The reception staff are really friendly and helpful too. I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay there and would recommend to others.
“Decent location, great breakfast, 3 stars”
Great free breakfast! Very nice pool. Rooms are average, the furniture and decor are outdated but everything was VERY clean & well maintained, air conditioning worked. There is only one VERY SMALL SIGN outside, which is barely visible on the train, you will not find this place unless you're looking very hard for it. Hotel is in an okay neighborhood, safe enough during the day to walk but I wouldn't go out after dark on foot. The neighbor is very dirty, lots of litter & grafitti. The hotel is about a fifteen minute walk from the train/bus station. On hot hot days or after dark, it's worth the 7 euros to take a taxi. Good customer service, make sure if you take a cab to the airport you discuss the price BEFORE (Hotel sign says 25 euros for taxi to airport, however the trip ended up costing 35, I was able to negotiate down to 30 euros afterwards, but it's FALSE ADVERTISING) Free wifi internet, but if you don't have a laptop like myself, you can use their desktop with internet for 4 euros per hour (I feel this should be free based on the price of the hotel to check on travel accomodations, flight status, etc. Not everyone has a cell phone or computer while traveling). Overall, a good experience for the price, however I would rate it 3 stars, not 4 in comparison with other 4 star hotels I've stayed at (example, Hilton Palace Sorrento, which is DEFINITELY 4 stars).
