Wonderful place to stay! So roomy and even had a kitchen. Was so nice to cook something after 2 weeks away from home! And such a beautiful view from the room and balcony!
Carlo was so wonderful as well! He even sent a bike taxi to find us when we got lost! Would recommend to anyone going to this charming breathtaking place!
The B & B Casa Dorsi born in the heart of the historic center of Polignano a Mare in front of the loggia of St. Stephen and …More
This B&B was a great discovery and the owner was very professional and helpfull. He made the entire difference in our stay in Bari by always making sure that our stay is well and that he is available if we need anything.
Location: situated in the old city, it is very charming. Couple km away from the train station and near by the port where you can pick up the ferry for your next destination.
Entirely renovated with great taste and high quality materials. The front sea is near by, great for walks or jogging. The beach is reachable for a dip near by or a sandy beach is 3km away, where a bus drives you right in front.
A fresh open daily market is about 10mins away to descover teasty local products.
B&B: Great neighbourhood. Very unique and typical b&b with individual washrooms for each room. Charming, and all very well renovated with a personal touch a heart. Wi-fi always reliable even if you please to work outside, near the ancient roman collums right at your door.
Service:The owner, Gianni, is always available: if you have a question, a request...he even had the kindness to pick us up at the train station and drop us off at the ferry at our departure. Beakfast is served at your door , at your convenience .
What can we ask more? Lovely city, great B&B, wonderfull owner.
Great setting for families or romantic trip.
Although it took a couple of attempts to find the B&B, we were eventually helped by neighbours to locate the entrance. Menica welcomed us warmly and gave up her car space for us in the crowded street car park. We followed her recommendation for dinner and enjoyed locally prepared dishes listed off a blackboard menu. Bari was an enjoyable stopover with the historic centre and Castello being highlights.
The accommodation was quite spacious and having the small kitchen was a nice change from eating in breakfast rooms. Good coffee making facilities and stocked pantry.
Staying at this hotel literally one of my best experience travelling to Italy.
-Right on the water. They beach is just across the street
-Everything is nearby! The station (Mola di Bari), supermarkets (lidl & local), Kebabs, Italian Eateries on the water
-Clean rooms and bathrooms. Cozy size, balconies with a lovely sea view and great TV
-Delicious breakfast. It included pastry to start, your drink (tea etc.), juice (try the ace), and cheese and ham plate. It was great and the gentleman who serves the food is too nice
-*** Phenomenal staff and management. Their service blew me away and was on par with US standards of service. I would say that they should be a 4 star hotel. They even allowed us to use their bikes to see mola di bari. One instance which sets them apart is that there was a misunderstanding about the train station pick up (its at mola di bari station not bari!) and it was supposed to cost us 80 euros for the taxi. We showed her that expedia said it was complementary but failed to mention a location and that it wasn't her fault and management waved the taxi ride graciously. From experience, any other Italian hotel wouldn't have done that and thats what sets them apart.
Don't think twice about this hotel. These guys deserve to be in business. Its a wonderful experience and I recommend it to my all my friends who travel to Italy
Welcome to the Gabbiano, a 3-star hotel on the Coast of Apulia in the town of Mola di Bari, located at only 20 km from Bari …More
Hosts Mara and Cesare are lovely - welcoming, helpful and will go out of their way to help you.
Our apartment was large, v. clean and tastefully furnished. As I expected, being in an ancient town with narrow streets, noise was an issue. I didnt expect it to be an issue so late into the night though!
The locals throughout the region were friendly, many didn't speak English but I enjoyed trying out my basic Italian.
The Gelato at The Napoli Bar is a must. They have lots of flavours.
A Lemon Granita is to die for and oh so refreshing if you find yourself at a bar that serves them.
We travelled by local train and bus to sightsee and to transfer from the airport. This was cost effective and easy to do with transport running to time. (Always visit the Information Desk for maps etc before you leave the airport.)
I plan to re visit the region one day and would happily stay at Carpe Diem again.
