“Good location and breakfast”

Breakfast was great. Location for activities was perfect. Some picked up in front of the hotel, and others were a 5-minute walk to a meeting place. Everything else was easily within walking distance.

“First visit to Tromso, Norway”

Professional, courteous and helpful staff who were more than happy to help out in fluent English. Quiet, pleasant rooms and hotel. The hotel is located in the heart of the city centre. Everything is practically just within 20-30 mins of walking distance (yes, that's not a big deal even in winter!) Outside the hotel is the airport shuttle drop off and pick up point. A lot of tours and adventure pick ups also start opposite the hotel. The tourist information and a collection of other interesting places are within walking distances too. An excellent pier view from the ground floor outside the hotel, accompanied with a breath taking panoramic view at the top floor. The hotel provides for daily house-keeping (even during the Christmas break!). Although I didn't use it, there is room service offered. I was offered a complimentary upgrade to business class which included a safe (with electronic 4-digit lock), 'water boiler' (Nespresso) ironing press and a mini bar. Although the Nespresso provided hot water, it is not boiling. The hotel could improve its services by including a proper 'kettle' in the rooms. TV had about 9 Sat channels with 2-3 channels in English. The hotel has a restaurant which serves a classic selection of dishes. Although it is a bit pricey, the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. The breakfast served is fully loaded with meat, fish and veg options along with selections of local breads and cheese. Milk, smoothies and juices are offered too.

“Great location in Tromso”

Located close to the waterfront in downtown Tromso, adjacent to the bus station the Radisson Blu is in a great location. The main street and many attractions are all within a 15 minute walk. The Flybus stops opposite the hotel. Room was compact, especially the bathroom, but had everything one might need for a comfortable stay. Free Wi-fi was much appreciated. Breakfast was standard international corporate hotel buffet with plenty of choice and good quality. All the staff encountered were professional and very helpful, particularly in answering queries about the town and local customs.

A nice hotel with pleasant staff and a lovely breakfast to start of the day. Very nice sauna and gym. Comfortable Beds and clean bathroom

“OK for a short stay, but not that impressive for a 4 star hotel”

OK for a short stay, but not that impressive for a 4 star hotel. The rooms were quite small and did not have any wardrobes, which is ok if you're only staying for a couple of days. The gym consisted of only 3 pieces of equipment, and the sauna was tiny. Breakfast was excellent though.

“Does the job.”

Adequate but nothing to write home about. Good location, room service patchy and breakfast has a feeding of the masses atmosphere.

“Mixed Bag for New Years”

Very helpful staff but decor is quite dated in the hotel rooms themselves. We stayed in Business Class suite which wasn't really a suite but a bed in a large room with laminated flooring. The only reason I know this room offered nothing more than just space is because we saw other standard rooms available which were carpeted and actually felt a little nicer. The hotel restaurant wasn't open New Years Day either which doesn't really go down well with tourists who would depend on it as the whole town closes down and nothing else is available. However, the beauty of the location and the spectacular view from the room made up for the basic provision from a globalised, well-established hotel chain.
