Old, smelly, dirty rooms. The hotel would need a complete revamp. Potential is huge but it will need a lot of love to become nice again.

Nice hotel with antique touch
Very nice and quiet place, in a half-way between different local attractions. Not far from National Park, not far from quite good restaurants. The staff is very friendly and helping.

Hotel is located at some distance from the town center. Hotel restaurant is the only one nearby. On my second night, someone played the piano until 11:00 pm. The third night some guest were late coming in and made a fair amount of noise getting into their room (high heels on wooden floor). Hotel is clean, but could use a little TLC.

Nice hotel away from the Shawinigan downtown area. Good if you are not looking to actually spend time in Shawinigan and are expecting to drive to the various attractions, etc. but room was a little more basic with fewer amenities

Off the beaten path, but very nice
Due to some confusion with our reservation, the number of beds in our room wasn't correct, but that was quickly resolved by the front desk. Our room was very charming and comfortable. The thermostat was a bit confusing, causing the room to overheat. Overall, Shawinigan was a pleasant surprise and made for a nice stopover point between Montreal and Quebec City.

A charming delight!
Booked this property thinking that it was a small quirky B+B but could not be further from the truth. An absolutely delightful guest house. Yes, it is chintzy with its floral wallpaper, wood features, numerous duck ornaments etc... but it felt extremely homely. Bedroom was a good size and well-maintained and serviced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the biggest surprise was the quality of food in the restaurant - out of this world! We visited this property en-route to Quebec and whilst it did involve a 30km detour off the main motorway (coming off at Trois Rivieres), it was definitely worth it. It gave us a true escape to the country and a chance to relax.

Auberge Le Flores: lovely place with qualification
I was prepared to absolutely love Auberge Le Flores from what I had read. And I did - almost! The decor was lovely, the staff very friendly, and our waitress in the restaurant was fantastic. In addition, the prices were reasonable. However, we had specifically chosen this location for the spa facilities available - hoping to have a nice spa day at the mid-point of a long road trip. As we did not see anywhere that advance reservations for spa services were necessary, or even recommended, I mistakenly did not make any advance arrangements. We were there only one night (Friday), and planned to spend the next day (Saturday) relaxing at the spa, but discovered to our disappointment that it was booked all day, with no openings. Perhaps it was because it was the weekend of Canadian Thanksgiving, which I also did not realize before arriving in Canada. At any rate, perhaps I should have anticipated needing to make advance reservations, and not left it to fate, but I did not, and paid with disappointment. So I would like to recommend that perhaps the Inn's description of ammenities should suggest that advance reservations be made for spa services, especially on weekends or holidays. On another note, our room was small which wasn't an issue for us, but there was no desk or table for my laptop (although the wifi worked fine), and I found the bed and pillow too hard for my own comfort and did not sleep well that night. I would still recommend this lovely Inn to other travelers, as long as they are aware of some of the possible issues when making their decision.

Peaceful Country Inn
Beautiful country inn set in the mountains of Shawinigan area. Stayed with family for 2 nights during a soccer tournament and enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this charming little inn. My wife and son enjoyed an afternoon massage. We enjoyed the grounds but were dissapointed that the pool was closed at the time due to maintenance issues. Though we did not eat at the inn the menu and restaurant are comparable to fine French dinning. The Spa was great. The rooms very nice and quite sound proof. I would stay here again. The great surprise was at checkout when the hotels.com price was billed at a lower price. Merci encore to all the staff and see you next year....

Bonne adresse
Etape d'une soirée entre le Parc de la Mauricie et Saguenay. Quartier calme avec plusieurs restaurants sympas à proximité, possibilité de diner à l'Auberge également. Petit déjeuner excellent avec un excellent accueil et service. N'avons pas eu le temps de profiter de la piscine

Bon accueil. Hotel de charme, simple mais fonctionnel. Environnement calme. Le parc était bien entretenu. La pelouse était tondue. Les dîners très bons. Nous somme restes 2 nuits. Ce n'est pas luxueux mais bon rapport qualité/prix. Un petit rafraîchissement serait nécessaire.

Nous étions de passage dans la région pour une fête familiale et nous avons logé à cette auberge une nuit parce que c'était à 7 minutes de l'endroit où était la fête. Il faut aimer le style vieillot. Il s'agissait d'une chambre à $89, c'est OK rapport qualité/prix. La chambre et la salle de bain était très propre. Le petit déjeuner était ordinaire et nous avions pris un massage avant de repartir de l'établissement (ça c'est très cool).

Belles installations, mais les propriétaires semblent les négliger: aménagement paysager, piscine, boisures, télés désuètes. Ils ont ajouté des décorations, des lumières clignotantes et des fleurs artificielles de mauvais goût qui nuisent au charme. Sinon, le personnel est très accueillant et serviable.

Un peu déçue mais pas sans espoir!
Réservation dernière minute. La piscine était en panne mais le spa fonctionnait. Lors d'un appel à la réception, le téléphone grichait. De plus, le restaurant était fermé , ouverture en septembre seulement. Bref, malgré tout, l'endroit était calme. J'attendrais un peu avant d'y retourner qu'ils s'installent un peu plus par les nouveaux propriétaires .

Nous avons réservé une chambre avec deux lits, lors de la réservation il y était indiqué (Grand lits) par contre nous avons eu lit double, pas trop confortable, la fenêtre de la chambre était craqué. L'était général est assez ordinaire pour le prix de 160,00$ pour une nuit.

Très bien tenu et vraiment beau.
Nous sommes venus pour profiter du calme champêtre de la région, et pour nous reposer au milieu d'un grand voyage. Ce fut bien et sans prétention. Le déjeuner était aussi excellent. Merci à la Direction de l'Auberge. Hubert Gallet.
