“Trinidads Best Hotel!!!”

This is the next closest thing to a resort as your going to get! It has everything! The staff, the ammenities are All worth the stay! I can't wait to visist again to see if I was dreaming or not!

“Great Hotel”

The Hyatt is the best hotel on the island of Trinidad, good food, great rooms. The location of the hotel and the general crime in and around Port of Spain make walking from the hotel unadvisable. The hotel is located right next to some government offices and so the general level of security is good.

“Luxurious”

Great experience!!! Staff was very attentive to our needs. Comfortable and safe environment. Even if you are from Trinidad & Tobago I wolud recomend this hotel just for the experience. This would be my first choice again.

“ok, but not the best in Port of Spain”

The good part first. The Hyatt has a BEAUTIFUL pool, even thought it has no hottub.... The hotel is physically very nice with nice rooms. Rooms have wonderful beds. Although the shower is all glass and the toilet area has a glass door...both with some areas frosted. But if your traveling with someone (like a business co-worker) and want bathroom privacy.....this is not the hotel for you! The worst part of the Hyatt is the food..............both the outrageous cost and the average quality. Everyone at the conference that was being held at the hotel was complaining about the cost of meals and drinks. I spent over $120US on a dinner (not including drinks or wine) for three. My fish was barely acceptable and one of my guests meal had to be sent back. Waitress wanted to charge for the returned meal!! I would recommend the Hyatt, only if you plan on eating and drinking somewhere else....

“The best hotel in the world for low to middle income people.”

I have never been to a hotel and upon checking was offered a cool dringk. this is very novel was most welcome. The staf is very friendly and professional. they give you the impression that they are happy to have you there.

“Nice Option”

My family is from Trinidad and this was a nice alternative since most of my family works during the day it allowed me to be situated in town. The rooms were clean and the hotel lobby was lovely. I do think the food was overpriced and I would have liked to see more local food on the menu. I can get fried calamari anywhere but a nice curry or tamarind alternative would have been nice. I think the rise in crime has caused a bit of caution among the residents and the folks at the hotel stressed it heavily. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would reccommend this hotel to anyone staying in Port of Spain on a business capacity. May be difficult for those that love to bird watch and dive.
