“not bad”
Everything was great, exept for the poolarea. A really dirty pool with insects (a few days) and dirt on the walls of the swimming pool

“Trindads golden hotel”
Fantasic stay, warm friendly staff always willing to please... rooms need a little re furb but opt for the bigger rooms and you wont be disappointed

Nice hotel but food is WAY over priced. Guess it is what you can expect when in another country but still expensive.
“Shop around.”
It costs 35 bucks to get to this hotel from the airport. The hotel is dated in the lobby and pool area. The rooms are updated - except for the bathroom. The room services prices are crazy and the only affordable restaurant in the hotel has very weird hours. The rotating restauarant at the top of the hotel was $100 for two adults and one child for the buffet with no alcohol. The food on the buffet was good but the selection left much to be desired for the price. Find somewhere else to stay if you can
“Crowne Plaza Port of Spain”
When I arrived at the hotel, I was asked to provide a printed confirmation from Expedia. I had made the reservation on short notice, so this was time-consuming: instead of going to my room to relax after a tiring flight, staff sent me to struggle with the Business Center's computer to produce the desired document. Expedia should send a confirmation directly to the hotel so as not to burden the arriving (and tired) guest. On the positive side, the restaurant was excellent, and the bar -- and the bar staff -- were very professional and courteous. On the less positive side, my hotel rooms was old and, although somewhat renovated, a bit seedy. The air conditioning was excessive and difficult to control.
“Staff have bad attitudes”
I travel a lot and stay in hotels all over the world, I have never felt compelled enough to write a review of a hotel before but I was fairly angry at the level of service in this hotel. I found the people I dealt with on front desk to be unworthy of a crown plaza, they seemed a little a little hostile and rude, I saw a rat running across the swimming pool area, this experience has left a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth... Hopefully someone reads this and works on the attitude of the staff... Regards
“Just a bed”
Fares are cheap, the bed is fine, and that's it, don't ask for more. Clerks are slow, the bar is outrageously expensive and the gym, well, don't even try that.
“Great Location, shame about the food”
This hotel is an ideal, central location. The service is very good with management willing to accommodate and address points raised. The concierage is also very friendly and efficient. There is also a taxi service linked to the hotel which is extremely good and friendly with amazing historical knowledge of the country. The restaurant food is disappointing but encouragingly room service food is good. Business centre is disappointing. Overall a good hotel.
