Only stayed the first of two night after securing better accommodations. While the hotel appears to be well run and clean, the property is badly out of date. It’s possible this was a *** hotel 40 years ago, but find it impossible to rate it as anything more than a ** in its present condition (I would not have booked if advertised properly as such.) While I could not object to it as a ** hotel, it’s not suitable for travelers who prefer better appointed rooms. Also, I refused to register for WiFi access — it’s not free if it costs me my personal information.

Dear Mr. Jackie, thank you for your review, as you sign all floor are connected by lift and full accessible for wheeled chair. Of course if you prefer use historical stairs, I'm sure you enjoy it!

Between station and centre
The room was fine and quiet, even though it had a street view. Everything was clean. The hotel is close to railway and bus stations, and also Piazza Oberdan, with the centre about 10-15 mins walk away. Breakfast was standard and OK although I would have liked larger and more varied bread rolls. This was my second stay and I would choose it again.

Good location; comfortable stay
Adequate accommodation; comfortable bed; good breakfast but they tend not to refill foods towards the end time. There was still an hour left before breakfast ended and nothing was being refilled. 🙁 Good location close to train and bus stations; easy access to shopping and some local sights. Overall a good stay.

Dear guest, I will thank you for your feedback. It's real, when all guest have been departed usually we make limited refill to buffet in order to limit food waste (we are part of food for poor league, but fresh food is pretty diffucult to transfer), but if you ask everything is available also at last minute. I hope to meet again next time you choose our city! Best regards

No t the best hotel
Staff very friendly and helpful wifi didn t work very well tv not working view out bedroom window terrible. On hotels Web sight shows front of hotel not true this is Castle Miramar which is no where near hotel.

Nice hotel
Rooms very clean, they park your car for you (complimentary), good location, about 1.5 miles from beautiful Piazza Unita. We were 4 people, the room was a bit tight with 4 single beds, however the bathroom was big. The breakfast is simple but very good, especially the coffee. Front desk personnel were exceptional!

Good deal for a quick stay.
This was a last-minute booking for an overnight stay as we were leaving Europe. I chose the hotel because they had a room with FOUR single beds in it! Awesome for me, my husband and our 13-year old twin boys. Hotel is a few blocks from the historic center of Trieste...and they served a very nice, traditional European breakfast. If we were staying more than a night or two, the room would be small for a family of four. But this was a great option as we made our way home and the price was great.

This hotel does not correspond to the supporting photo on the page, very hard access if you have a vechile, no on site parking . Positives are hotel recommended a fantastic restaurant 3 mins walk. Awesome Barista made coffee on the premises for breakfast . Priced well hotel

Great stay and great location
very helpful bi-lingual (English speaking) staff and an easy location to find. Parking at the station which is a 3 minute walk away is an easy option. Good breakfast option and an easy walk to main piazza and eating areas.

No castle but great little hotel
The staff were fantastic. Typical breakfast was great. Walking distance to everything you'd want to do in the area. Close to the train station for those without a car. I wouldn't have wanted to park in the area. The hotel is not the castle in the ad.

Fantastic
This hotel has so much to offer for such a small price. We were greeted by Bachir, who spoke English and gave us great advice about where to go in Trieste. The hotel is older but they have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. We were impressed with the attention to detail. It is close to the train and bus station making it easy to travel around Trieste.

Wonderful Hotel Staff! Good Breakfast!
We had a very nice experience at Hotel Italia. Parking arrangement with garage nearby. They have a small elevator for two at a time, but stairs are wide and easy enough to climb and descend. We thought the location was good to walk around and see all the sites and close to many great places to eat. The staff helped us so much, they make it a priority to help familiarize you with the area and they go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay and have everything you need.

Our stay in Trieste
Our overall stay was pretty good. The reception and breakfast staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Good assortment for breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable but could use an update and a newer shower head. Also the bathroom faucet had the hot water coming out of the cold side and the cold water coming out of the hot side. Hotel is close to train and bus stations and within walking distance to the city centre.

This hotel is in a great location. Easy walking distance to all the central sights in the city, as well as the main rail and bus stations. The staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. They are the brightest spot at this hotel. The rooms themselves are ok if old and a bit run down (especially at the price you pay).

The best thing was the concierge and staff, they were terrific. The hotel was a bit dingy, small no wifi that worked, overall not great. Central location. It was fine for what we needed.

Great Location
I found the hotel to be close to many things, including the Central Station for trains and buses. Easy walking distance to the main shopping and eating streets and squares and the waterfront. I did find the bed to be very firm and that is NOT my preference. So if that bothers you please be aware.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was well-equipped, very pleasant, and the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. It's close to the main sights in Trieste. Breakfast was comprehensive. It was excellent value for money.

Dejligt tæt på jernbane og busstation. Ventede kun få minutter på værelset før indtjekningstid, og fik gratis kaffe. Meget fin og venlig service
