close to the seaside and the shops , restaurant, etc ,except no dropoff or stop zone outside the hotel along a busy road, once you off load your bags , you got to park 500m (4 blocks away), to do proper check in.

In a wheelchair, this hotel was great, central and easy to get to the nice bits of town in the chair (btw beware the fast food restaurant by the canal as they fiddle your bill), the girls in reception were charming and the parking was an easy 4 blocks away, I pushed the chair with our hand luggage back to the car

Nice hotel right in the centre
Stayed here as we were visiting the port on business but still had time to enjoy the town and atmosphere, it’s a very nice town and the hotel is right in the centre old style with no thrills but good value for money

Really well located, 10 min to the train and bus stations and 15 min to the castle and cathedral. Near the sea. The rooms are big as are the bathrooms (shower). Breakfast is a small buffet with only bread and biscuits and yogurts and fruit - no cheese, harm, no hot eggs - but it’s tasty. Staff were very friendly

Very nice hotel, great location and a very friendly and helpful staff. Parking was a short walk and 10 Euros day.

Awesome location, great rooms with air conditioning (essential in 38C heat), just a 10 minute walk from the train station. The only small negative is the breakfast buffet is quiet small, but still okay. We would definitely stay here again!

The beds were not very comfortable and too short for my tall husband and son. The air conditioning did not work very well, and it was very warm on the fourth floor. The hotel was very clean, and the staff was very friendly.

Hotel Filoxenia is centrally located and close to the harbour. Without exception, the staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms are small but adequate for a short stay.

All very good, except no parking provided and breakfast coffee was average. On a street with a bus stop just out front, but that did not cause us any issue. It might if you want your window open.

Great location
As you might suspect, it is older than most US hotels. Had a full size window that swung open for fresh air. With the window open you hear lots of street noise, with the window closed it was very quiet. The room had a very nice A/C unit with a remote control. Staff was very helpful despite the language barrier. We arrived at 11am & the room was not ready. The staff allowed us to put our luggage in the room immediately. While we were putting the luggae in the room, 2 staff members showed up & got the room ship shape in a matter of minutes. Enjoy

Good spot to enjoy Trieste
As has been stated by others this is a very well located hotel meters away from the waterfront & near the huge Piazza de Italia Unita. Helpful staff and rooms are completely adequate. Wi-fi functioned well enough and breakfast spread was fine albeit not lavish. Parking about 200 meters away at the Molo 4 parking lot (10 Euros a day).

Lovely hotel
A lovely hotel, reasonably priced in a good location. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was very satisfactory, with plenty of choice, and we were able to take fruit etc. away to avoid having to spend too much on lunch!

Grazie, perchè ho baciato le porte chiuse dell'albergo Filoxenia, che si stava rinnovando, mentre voi non avevate avvisato ne me e nemmeno la mia famiglia. Tra l'altro noi abbiamo pure chiamato ripetutamente il numero della reception, ed nessuno ha risposto. Una grande delusione rimanere con il mio bambino e mia moglie senza un albergo dove stare. Sconsigliato.

Veldig bra beliggenhet! Ligger midt i sentrum. Enkel frokost. Kommer du med bil, er det parkeringsplass i nærheten ( 15 euro PR døgn) hyggelig ansatte.
