“Great home base for visiting the wine country”

My wife and two kids had a king-bed / kitchen room for the annual Prosser Balloon Rally weekend. The room was spacious and clean, and the location is tough to beat for the balloon rally. You're a long walk / short drive from the tiny Prosser airport where the launch the balloons. The hotel has a small indoor pool that the kids loved. If wine brings you to Prosser, the hotel is also very close to the wineries of Vintner's Village. It's not the most scenic location: You're right off the interstate amid fast-food restaurants and gas stations, and you're a ways from Prosser's quaint downtown. But all in all a solid hotel and I'd return again.

“Convenient for Prosser's Vintner's Village”

The hotel is convenient for walking to and touring Prosser's Vintner's Village. The continental breakfast in the morning is good. A short walk away is a Starbucks for some better coffee though. The negatives of the hotel: no elevator to the second floor and the pool/hot tub closes at 10pm

Dining
A must try is Wine O'clock located in Vintner's Village.

“I shall return!”

If your into Wine Tasting there are many wonderful wineries within a half hour easy drive as well as a one stop wine Village within walking distance. There are at least ten tasting rooms in the "Village" . It is a ten miute walk from the hotel . Continental breakfast is above par . Yes I will return .

Area recommendations
This is right off the freeway and has easy access to many different routes. Many food options are available.

“Not Much Choice in Prosser”

We checked in on a hot summer day before the rest of our group and thought we'd sit by the pool and wait for the others to arrive. Not at all what we expected! The pool area was under maintenance but was still open, it shouldn't have been! There were only a handful of towels around a tiny, filthy, 90+ degree pool tightly enclosed in a large fence. Yuck! It looked as though any and all maintenance had been deferred for ages. It gets very hot in the middle of summer in Prosser! The room was fine, the bed actually pretty comfortable, but the room was freezing when we arrived! They like to blast the AC on high. The motel is situated directly next to the freeway but at least it is walking distance from the area with the largest numbers of wineries. There are only 2 motels in Prosser. If you HAVE to stay in Prosser, just don't expect much! Very mediocre at best!

“You Get What You Pay For”

It was very nice and in a very good location. There was a Subway and a couple other restaurants right across the street and fast food right across the parking lot. Several wineries were within walking distance. The lady at the front desk was not very helpful; I had no idea what time check out was or when the continental breakfast would be served from. It was very quiet and my room was huge; the bed was also really comfortable. I would stay here again; it was a nice place and worth the price.

Area recommendations
It really all depends on the purpose of your trip.
When to go
If you don't like heat I would not recommend going during the summer; it gets extremely hot in that area and temperatures can easily be at 80 degrees at 7am and it will not cool down until after 9pm.
Getting around
You can park at the hotel and pretty much walk to anywhere you want to go!
Dining
Prosser doesn't have much to offer in the form of nice restaurants; if you travel 25 mins to the Tri Cities you will have endless dining possibilities. There are however a few nice smaller cafes in town that are really good and really decently priced.

“Great value in wine country”

We've been traveling 3 weekends in a row for college tours and sports events. This was the largest of the rooms we've had, the cleanest, and the most well kept facility. For the type of lodging, and the rural location, it was well above expectations. The breakfast in the hotel was ample, varied, and good. Wish we would have had time for wine tasting in the area while we were there!

“Will not stay here again for the price I paid.”

I expect some hall noise when staying at a hotel. I do not expect to get awakened due to continuous thumping at 4:00am. I have stayed at some pretty bad hotels that had better stays then this one. I chose Best Western because the previous stays I had were nice.

Area recommendations
The neighborhood was not bad, it was pleasant and not loud. Had different eateries and gas stations nearby for quick access.

“Would go back.”

It is not a glamorous facility, but is certainly adequate and very clean. Too bad there are not too many good eating establishments in the immediate area, but I sense that this is changing. The staff seemed friendly and helpful. The location is very good if you are on a tour of this particular wine region.
