Really well located hotel. Well run and relaxed. Great breakfast buffet. Parking is a bit problematic, but happy to recommend as a great little tourist hotel.

The room was immaculately clean and well appointed. The staff is very friendly and attentive to all your needs.The hotel has been nicely renovated on the inside and has a beautiful collection of paintings of the area covering a period of over a hundred years of the area by various artists. The location is beautiful, on the northern shore of Lago di Garda and in the center of the beautiful and lively little town of Torbole, but also within easy walking distance of trails that go up into the nearby mountains.

A more than pleasant stay.
Hotel Benaco is central to everything you want to get to. The room is spacious, neat and with a pretty view downtown Nago Torbelo. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

Nice little hotel in a perfect location.
Nice little hotel in a perfect location, set in a historical building with friendly and accommodating staff and nice breakfast. The rooms are clean and well preserved, and comes with the standard you can expect from an Italian three-star hotel; not great, but not bad either. The upgrade to gold standard is worth it for the balcony (and view) alone. I personally found the bed to be very hard, and [at this time of year at least] the rooms are lacking a duvet. The restaurant is worth a try if you don't have the energy to find something else. Great parking facilities, but make sure to pre-book if you want the one in the hotel courtyard (at an extra cost).

Great location
Hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly welcome drink provided The Hotel and has been in business since the 1930's and is family run. The picture you see on the web site is a true image of what the hotel looks like. It was very busy.

Fantastic find of a hotel
We loved this hotel! The decor is a bit old fashioned but is authentic and added to the charm. We had a room on the front with a beautiful view of the lakefront as can be seen in the attached photo. The service at reception was not the best but all the other staff were Fantastic. We ate in the restaurant in the evening which was great as well. The area itself is stunning and this hotel is in a prime location. Our only real complaint was that we had to leave in the morning!

Great location

Nice family run hotel & restaurant by the lake
Great history of the hotel and the family owners, all throughly researched and put in a brochure. Collection of paintings is amazing too. Owners are lovely people. Very friendly and helpful, great service. We were offered a room upgrade at no extra costs. Car parking onsite was important to us and a reserved space was awaiting us in the evening. We had a clean and quiet room with comfortable beds, aircon and an updated bathroom. The roof terrance with the jacuzzi was a real treat compared to the busy beach by the lake. We didn't realise how much you can do in the area and wished we had planned more time here.

Venice Trip
Only stopped for one night on the way North, couldnt have asked for more. You can tell its a family run Hotel, all of the staff had a positive interest in your stay. One night is not long, but first impresions are the important ones. Mine was extremly positive. Would like to return and stay longer. Dont forget to ask for a room at the front, i sat for ages looking at the small harbour.

We really enjoyed our 1 night stay at the hotel, good breakfast included, reasonable price, place really well located. I would just mention that we tried to have an aperitive at their restaurant, there were like 10 tables available outside and it would have taken 20 minutes before going out for dinner, but it was not possible even if we were guests as they said that the tables are only for having dinner. I didn’t find it polite.

Wir haben eine Nacht im Hotel Benaco übernachtet. Wir haben ein freies Upgrade erhalten, würden freundlich empfangen und haben uns über ein sauberes Zimmer gefreut. Das Frühstück ist super und die Pizza im hauseigenen Restaurant war ebenfalls lecker.

Für eine Nacht sehr gut geeignet
Nach zwei Wochen Toskana haben wir auf der Rückreise eine Zwischenübernachtung am Gardasee eingelegt. Das Hotel Benaco ist zu diesem Zweck gut geeignet. Man erhält ein sehr gutes Preis / Leistungsverhältnis, muss was den Komfort betrifft aber Einschränkungen in Kauf nehmen. Die Zimmer sind einfach, aber Zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Ein kleiner Safe, Klimaanlage, Wasserkocher sind vorhanden. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer, eines mit Blick auf den Hof, das andere bot gar keinen Blick auf See oder Landschaft. Das sollte man vorher erfragen. Das Essen im Restaurant war ok, aber nichts besonderes. Die Pasta fanden wir etwas fad. Das Frühstück ist absolut ausreichend. Der Parkplatz ist recht weit entfernt. Man kann aber im Innenhof ein- und ausladen. Die Lage am Hafen, Wasser ist natürlich hervorragend, auch Ende August pulsierte das Leben drumherum. Der Whirlpool auf dem Dach war für unsere Mädchen eine Attraktion, steht aber genau gegenüber der lärmenden Klimaanlage. Aufgefallen ist uns, dass der Service im Hotel zwar gut, aber niemand so richtig freundlich war. Man fühlte sich als Hotelgast nicht wirklich wohl. Für Zwischenübernachtungen würden wir das Hotel Benaco dennoch absolut empfehlen.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, das Personal war sehr freundlich, auch das Frühstücksbuffet war trutz Corona sehr gut, da haben wir auf unserer Weitereise durch Italien anderes erlebt. Für unsere zwei Nächte ein ideales Hotel, da von hier aus am oberen Gardasee alles gut erreichbar ist. Wenn wir mal wieder da sein sollten, würden wir wieder buchen.
