Part of the Matanuska-Susitna Borough and just west of the Susitna River, the community of Trapper Creek is set to the south of Denali National Park. The history of the town is told through artifacts and pictures at the Trapper Creek Museum. Housed in a log cabin, the museum depicts the rugged life of local gold miners, fur trappers, homesteaders, and other adventurers that came to the area.
