“Excellent”

Excellent value. Very chic hotel with modern clean rooms with balconies overlooking the townn and the sea. In a nice quiet village just minutes drive from the archeological park. Breakfast is on an upper floor with a great view. Restaurant is on ground level with standard Italian restuarant cuisine. Very enjoyable.

“Lovely Hotel with excellent resturant”

This was a wonderful hotel with extremely friendly staff. I believe it is run by a family. The food was excellent and our view of the water was beautiful. Very modern furnishings and quite comfortable. The little town is adorable.

“Impressive value”

This hotel was great value as an Expedia special offer. It was well designed and well maintained, with a wonderful rooftop breakfast room with views over the sea and the ruins of Selinunte, Europe's largest archaelogical site. The beach was just a few minutes walk away, the staff were helpful - great stuff. However, don't eat in the restaurant - very ordinary food, and perfunctory service. Otherwise, highly recommended.

“An excellent location and great value.”

The Admeto is the perfect place to stay in Selinunte, it is located above the beach and so offers superb views. The rooms are very spacious and the public spaces of the hotel are well presented. Only criticism was lack of information on hotel facilities and although the general level of cleanliness was high, the edges of the balcony floor and glass surround suffered from bird droppings which were not cleaned away. Other benefits include free parking and general accessibility.

“Horrible encounter! Racist hotel staff!”

My wife and I (an interracial couple) were treated with complete disrespect by the front desk staff as soon as we arrived at this hotel. This hotel is located in southern Sicily, a very hot region (95+ degrees F), and we were given a room with non functioning air conditioning. I checked a room down the hallway of a caucasian couple, whose air conditioning system was working very well. After immediately mentioning the problem with our air conditioning system to the front desk staff, we were told it would be resolved by the time we returned from dinner. We went to dinner, and upon our return to the hotel, nothing had been done about the air conditioning. The front desk clerk said that she would "look into it." I asked for the manager, and she said, "he will not be available until tomorrow morning." She then offered us four other rooms (all without functioning air conditioning!) and was able to manipulate the computer system from the front desk so that each of the rooms air conditioning systems would not work when we arrived in the room to test the air conditioning. I then insisted on her giving us a room in a different hotel, which surprisingly, she seemed willing to do, and we proceeded to pack our bags. The other hotel front desk clerk was made aware of our situation, provide us with probably the worst room in the hotel, and since it was getting late we had no choice but to suffer through the night with very little sleep. The staff are blatant racists.
