The property was built in 1752 and still retains many of its period features including sash windows, wood panelling and the original oak staircase.

Highcroft House is fully licensed and there is an elegant guest drawing room on the ground floor that you are welcome to use during your stay. The dining room can be accessed from here up 3 wooden steps. All of the public area is located on the ground floor. Guests are also welcome to make use of our private walled garden during their stay. This can be accessed from our rear hallway up 2 steps. Smokers may smoke in the garden but not in the house.

Breakfast at Highcroft is taken in the dining room around our large dining table. During the week we serve breakfast between7:30am and 9am and at the weekends it is a more relaxed affair between 8:30am and 10:00am. Of course if you need breakfast outside of these times please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your request. As well as a number of cooked options we also offer fresh fruit and home made muffins or cake.
