“OK but stayed at better”
Beautiful surroundings but hotel itself was OK. The outside door was not sealed properly as we could see light coming thru. We put a towel on the bottom of the door to make sure we wouldn't have any unwanted visitors that crawl. There was debris on the carpet at the entrance but I think it was just wind blowing stuff thru the crack. Besides that it was clean but still not something to write home about.
“Wouldn't cash a Traveler's Check”
This hotel is 20 miles from the nearest bank. I needed to pay for a tour provided by a local operator and wanted to give a cash tip. I asked at the desk if I could cash a $100 Traveler's Check and the woman refused. Given their location, far from any bank, they should have been prepared to provide that service.
“Good value, great location”
Perfectly adequate for travelling with kids. Pleasantly surprised by how great the service was. Very clean. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.
“Good, clean hotel, I would stay again.”
Hotel is a few miles from Capital Reef Natl. Park. We had spent the day in Bryce Canyon Natl. Park and were going to Capital Reef and this hotel is conveniently located. It was clean, the hot tub and pool were well maintained. I was pleasantly surprised as the last time I stayed in a Best Western they were old and shabby. I would stay here again. Please note: this hotel is high in the mountains and was at least 15 degrees colder than the valleys. Bring a jacket.
“One of the best in the Utah canyon country.”
This motel/resort had magnificent views and the rates were reasonable, especially for the junior suite. The attached restaurant was okay, but very convenient. Would definitely stay here again on any road trip near this motel.
“Best Place to Stay in Torrey”
I have been to Torrey, UT for the past three years and everytime stayed in a different hotel. This one was by far the most comfortable with the best view of the red rock mountains.
“Very pleased”
From the outside the hotel seemed ordinary. Rooms veyr nice and staff very friendly. Just a few minutes from the park.
“Great Views”
The Best Western in Torrey is reasonably priced, clean, and conveniently located near the entrance to Capitol Reef National Park. The rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with panoramic views of redrock. The mattresses were a bit stiff and the pillows too soft. A simple breakfast is provided for free, each morning.
“Old and in need of renovations”
The hotel or motel was selected because of limited hotels or motels in this area. This motel is old and in need of renovations and updating. Low value for the price paid. Service was good and friendly, continental breakfast was only acceptable.
“Front Desk service was poor.”
We arrived before check in to see if we could possibly get a room a little earlier. We were tired, and ready to get out of the car. The lady at the front desk and told me that check in was at 4. Before I could say anything, she went on to say that she had no idea if any of the rooms are ready, she hadn't talked to any of her cleaning staff, and she can't do anything for me. Come back at 4. I was amazed that she was not helpful at all. She wasn't even very polite either. And since we were in a small town, there was not much to do except go into the park. When we came back, the first lady was gone, and the new lady was much nicer. Needless to say we didn't want to talk to the staff much after that.
