This hotel is perfect for families with small children. We were just there as a couple but noticed that most of the guest were young families. There are plenty of pools and programs for the children. The breakfast food in the buffet was very good and varied. It is on a centeal areas of Torremolinos and being on the boardwalk is a bonus. I would highly recommend it. If you are not fond of children then perhaps an adults only hotel would be a better choice.
enjoyed our stay with the cervantes, staff very good all round and could not help enough. room very clean with fridge and good balcony ,curtains needed a little attention (silicon spray ) to close easlily ,wardrobes a little dated,Other than that we were comfortable.Dining was very good on the whole grills all ok and good selection of diverse meals ,a little more fresh vegetables variety would be an improvement .When the grills were free grilled veg like courgettes /aubergines etc would be a nice alternative.Breakfasts eccellent only missing item omelettes, coffee excellent best I have had for along time , excellent choices for all tastes could not do much more.
Having been to this hotel in the 1990s I was not sure what to expect. We were delighted. It has been updated where necessary and still offers an amazing location with great food, fun entertainment and nice rooms. We will definitely return.
We stayed at Amaragua Hotel in Torremolinos 26-31 May, 5 people in 2 rooms. The moment you walk into the hotel you get a feeling of quality and you are welcomed by a very nice team of receptionists who would spare no effort in helping guests, they are quite knowledgeable and will provide good advice about the local area attractions. they maintain a pleasant attitude with a smile even when under lots of work pressure. the location is superb, it is literally on a beautiful and clean beach with a nice neat walk and hundreds of very nice restaurants and cafes.
the hotel rooms are a bit old style, but very clean , comfortable and quiet. we payed for half board ie. breakfast and dinner- you really don't need to buy any extra food, except if you fancy sampling food from the lovely fish restaurants by the beach. the Hotel restaurant offers a good variety of food to suit all tastes; not the greatest quality, but fairly good.
the hotel has a very nice and good sized outdoor pool and there is an indoors pool and spa (which I didn't use).
Malaga airport is twenty minutes away by taxi.
Granada and Alhambra are about two hours away by bus, well worth a visit!
Overall, a very good experience. I would strongly recommend the hotel. If I ever visit costa del sol again (which I may do soon) I will be going to Hotel Amaragua!
"Fabulous beach front hotel with brilliant faciliti"
Enjoyed a wonderful family holiday. Child friendly, excellent choice of fresh and tasty food. Facility to sanitise your hands prior to entering the restaurant. Great piano bar, excellent evening entertainment for kids and then adults. Opposite a fabulous beach.
We enjoy visiting Torremolinos every year. We will now stay at the Marconfort and recommend to others.
booked last minute, hotel not known to us, reviews quite negative, so went with open minds. on arrival, very helpful reception staff, room was clean with working air con, bit basic and cramped as we did have 4 beds in it. clean towels and complimentary shower gel soap and shampoo all provided. Maid service everyday unless door tag is put on to not disturb, however you could catch the maid for clean towels, very helpful.Requested a higher floor room with sea view, which is exactly what we got. view from balcony brilliant. Bar staff friendly. restaurant was buffet style, very good selection of hot and cold foods and variety of desserts, on our ticket wine and water with lunch/dinner was included. breakfasts were again good.( no upset tums!)

Ideally located just a few steps from the beach, this 3 star hotel in Torremolinos, Spain offers comfortable guest rooms …More
I just came from Costa del Sol. The hotel is in really good condition, their personal is excellent and they try to help you in anything. The half board is really good and fresh. Even there is a tourist company that work with the hotel so I visited Gibraltar with them. This hotel have different shows every day. Their visitors are most of them in their 50 or 60 so the hotel atmosphere is quite and really relaxing so this is a perfect place for rest.
