The hotel is beautiful, and close to Herculaneum and Vesuvius. The staff is very friendly and check in was quick and easy. The roof top terrace at the hotel is not to be missed for the stunning views of the Gulf of Naples out to Corsica and Mt. Vesuvius on the other side. The pool area looks great, just a little too early in the season to enjoy it.

Enjoyable visit.
Very nice hotel. Restaurant and breakfast were very good. Very close (short drive) to major sites. Staff were all awesome. Pool area was a little small, but nice.

Beautiful property with a wonderful staff! I stayed in the main building, but read reviews that the annex wasn’t in great condition but I’m not sure since I didn’t stay there. I was on the top floor near the rooftop bar and it’s wasn’t overly noisy at all. The rooftop is beautiful, the pool area is great, and the staff is so helpful. Just note that the hotel location is out of the way of Napoli so it might be inconvenient for doing the touristy things in town. But you’re right next to Vesuvius, wineries, and near Pompeii!!

The Hotel Marad was a great location to visit Pompei, Mount Versuvius and Herculaneum. Very clean, staff were friendly and helpful. Food was delicious and plenty of choice. The pool was small but never too busy. We had a wonderful stay.

We stayed at the Hotel Marad for about a week during August, using it as our starting point to visit the surrounding parts of Southern Italy. While the rooms were small, they were modern and very comfortable and more than met our needs. The WiFi worked quite well and while a bit repetitive, we very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet, and particularly the outdoor dining in the garden. We also used the rooftop deck, which was nice for drinks and light fare in the evening. The staff were helpful and overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel as great value for money.

Very nice hotel. Nice staff. Pool also nice but unfortunately they close it very early 6:30 pm so when you back from hrs of walking and wishing you will have time to use the pool it’s almost impossible. Very nice rooftop bar with beautiful view.

As we stayed in the Annex part of the Hotel this was old and run down fridge didn’t work the bathroom needed renovations esp the very small shower wouldn’t stay there again.. The guy who looked after the Pool area was great very informative and had as lot of knowledge on the area very helpful

Hotel staff is absolutely lovely, they were very helpful and so sweet. I Can’t remember all the names , but we had great attentive service with Ida, Giuseppe, Danielle, Enzo. Hotel has a great homey feeling, its clean , food is great! The train station is a 15 minute walk, and you can take a cab to the ferry which is 20 minutes away to go to Amalfi and capri. Only draw back is that there is not much to do around the hotel, but I highly recommend it.

The staff in the hotel without exception went over and above to advise, help and ensure you had a great time. The food is out of this world, the sky bar unbelievably beautiful and luxurious and with such friendly service as well. The pool clean, lush and beautiful and makes you want to stay in for hours. Town around hotel not so nice so consider having a car or using taxis organised by hotel . Walking to train station easy enough but trains can be either hot and dirty or equally clean and cool- random gamble. So close to Versuvious, Herculaneum and Pompei - ideal for seeing those and having luxurious stay at same time .

Be careful if you book an annex room, as that part of the hotel is not 4 star as advertised. It’s a telling sign that no photos of the bathroom are shown, very dated and run down rooms. The breakfast isn’t 4 star standard either.

The food and staff were excellent. The location is not great, and hard to get cabs. But we were there to see Herculaneum and for that it was the perfect location.

Location is very isolated. The room we staying in had mold on the roof of the bathroom and in the morning there were pieces of ceiling all over the floor. Restaurant had a very limited menu. We stayed 1 out of our 3 nights.

This hotel is beautiful and in a nice, convenient location to the airport. My complaint - and it's a serious one - is that the owners decided not to turn on air conditioning during our stay. It was very warm at night and the only way to get relief was to oprn the door to balcony, which let in bugs and noise. Hotels.com says the hotel has air conditioning. We would never have booked a hotel in Italy in May without AC. I recommend asking about it before booking.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is located a bit far from some attractions but it was nice and close to Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius, and the view from our room of Vesuvius and Capri was stunning. Staff were also greatly helpful in arranging cars for us and the drivers they use are great. The food was absolutely delicious and we would happily stay again!

Nice hotel, very clean with friendly staff. You really need a car its a good 30 min walk uphill from the fast train station. 15/ 20 min walk uphill from the local train station. There are bars and restaurants nearby but you will have to find them,

We were travelling outside of the season so there wasn't much open around the hotel. The hotel itself is very comfortable. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Breakfast is basic but ample. The rooms are a good size and are clean and well looked after. My only real issue is that in this day and age of climate challenges the hotel are still using plastic cups for juice at breakfast and clean towels everyday which, i feel, is unnecessary.
