“Beautiful hotel”

It was a real treat to stay here. This hotel is situated close to the offices of a couple of Japanese car companies so has adopted a Japanese theme. The rooms are beautiful with Japanese-style deep baths in stylish bathrooms. The Japanese breakfast was excellent (Western alternatives are available). Thoroughly recommendable.

“A Comfortable Stay”

Miyako Hybrid Hotel Torrance is a very nice hotel. It is well kept and clean although when we arrived there the floor near the elevator was wet. Seems like there was some leak. The pillows & beds are very comfortable. The restroom is clean & I was impressed that it had a bidet toilet installed. This hotel is favorable to businessmen & tourists alike. After a busy day, one can relax in the spa, which is located on the first floor. I was disappointed that the hotel did not have a swimming pool since I traveled with children. The parking lot in front of the entrance is always packed, there is additional parking on the lot across the street. The hotel was more than what I expected.

“The Best Hotel In Torrance, CA”

The bed was so comfy, my girlfriend and I had a hard time get out of it (if you know what I mean). The deep bath tub and open shower was really invigerating. The whole staff was great. The even provided towels when returned to the hotel in the rain. Very thoughtful to all your needs. Space was provides to use the internet. I will definately return.

“LA family trip”

Was very happy with the hotel overall. We booked two rooms for my husband and I as and our two boys (19and 21). The hotel was very clean with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was great. Very quiet with a nice comfortable bed with high quality bedding and large flat screen TV. The bathroom was gorgeous with a Japanese style shower / soaker tub room. Be sure to bring bubble bath... The hotel was about 20 minutes south of LAX. The location was convenient to highways and easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. Our main reason for traveling to LA was to attend two hockey games (LA KIngs and Anaheim Ducks). The hotel was midway between both arenas. Approximately 1/2 hour to 40 minutes to each from the hotel. (depending on traffic of course...) Lots of shopping 5 minutes away with many restaurant choices. The Del Amo mall is huge and has something for everyone including theaters and bowling.

Area recommendations

Good shopping at the Del Amo Mall. One of the largest malls in the state. A short drive to Redondo Beach and the pier. (about 20 minutes)

Getting around

Due to the incredible LA traffic, be sure to bring a GPS with you. It will save you many headaches.

“Incredible, extraordinary, phenomenal value for money”

If I had to pick the 3 best hotels I've ever stayed at, the Miyako Hybrid in Torrance would be right up there. If you don't mind the driving - it's a 20-mile drive south from e.g. Santa Monica - it's well worth it. The room is VERY large, incredibly clean and comfortable, and the staff is just out of this world. The hotel restaurante is tremendous. Best tempura I've had in my life. Really amazing. The only possible downside is the breakfast, which is pretty much Japanese-style - but I really didn't mind one bit. For those who are adventurous and open-minded the Miyako Torrance is the best possible experience hotel-wise I can think of in L.A.

Area recommendations

Santa Monica, Silver Lake, Venice. You can spend a lifetime enjoying the coolness, the laidbackness and gastronomy of these areas.
