The hotel is nice and convenient when we stay in downtown TO. The rooms are nice, but the Signature rooms are dated and the washrooms in them are very small. The cost for an older room is unbelievable at times. We continue to stay there b/c of the familiarity and convenience.

You have to pay for WiFi which in this day and age is almost unheard of. The walls are extremely thin. Could hear EVERYTHING the people next door was doing.

We thought we'd treat ourselves but what a disappointment. All three bars had VERY loud music -- we may as well have had a drink in a dance bar. The next morning our elevator got stuck, which could have been a disaster because the emergency phones were not working. Luckily I was able to communicate using my cell phone. But as a result of this delay, we missed the buffet, though we managed to talk our way into it. Very disappointing.

Best Fairmont I’ve ever stayed at. Great staff, beautiful hotel and perfect location. We really enjoyed our stay. Major attractions are in walking distance. Directly across the street from via rail/ transit system. We will definitely be going back!

The Royal York is consistently classy, with exceptional food and attentive service. It is an older hotel, with associated issues like the elevators malfunctioning while i was there. Truly enjoy this hotel, will select it first when I'm in Toronto

The lobby was beautiful, which we got a chance to admire during our 45 minute wait to check in. I was told it is not normal but it was a long weekend. When we got to our room the carpet was still wet and remained that way until the morning. I was double charged for my room by the hotel and only after calling twice was my credit card refunded a week later. I will not be staying at the royal York again.

The property had nice decor. There are many rooms that have not been updated. I’d say my local Holiday Inn has nicer rooms. At least the Valet has nice employees and the restaurant has good food.

Enjoyed this location and the service. Everyone was pleasant and ready to assist, whether that be in person or over the phone. Room was a bit small but the LeLabo toiletries were divine. For a hotel of its age, it has been kept up quite well. Would definitely stay again.

Great lobby and bar and ambiance of a great hotel. The room was very noisy though - heard guests next door much louder than i would expect at a 5 star hotel.
