“Nice place”
Courteous and helpful staff. the neighborhood is kind of iffy, with some street walkers hanging around the hotel it may not be the best choice if you are traveling with family or clients, however it is quiet and safe and very near subway and other commute stations. The rooms are very clean and the service is good, though I didn't have a safe or a frig in the room. I will definitely go back in my next business trip.
“Good experience”
Clean room. Close to downtown.
“Excellent location and value”
Great access to downtown and really good value. Sure it's an older building, but it's been updated and has a certain charm, was quiet area, and most importantly very clean rooms and comfy beds.
“WILL RETURN AGAIN!!!”
THERE ISN"T A NEGATIVE COMMENTS TO BE SAID. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN, MODERN AND WELL EQUIPPED. THE LOBBY STAFF WERE KIND AND INVITING, AND I ASSURE YOU THAT IT IS MY FIRST TIME HERE, BUT IT IS NOT MY LAST.
“Excellent choice by EXPEDIA”
Wife and I went for Prince Concert took son and cousin in there teens I booked the two bedroom with Expedia. Once I got there without seeing the two bedroom I paid for a separate Queen room so the wife and I could have some time after concert, went up to the room and had a two bedroom suite with living room separating rooms. I cancelled the the Queen room right away has a great and wonderful stay.
“a relaxing hotel”
We really enjoyed our stay at the Ramada Plaza Toronto Downtown the room was comfortable and well equiped my only complaint was that the carpet i the room needed a good clean or replaced also when I went to use gym it was a a let down as about 80% of the equipment was broken apart from that our stay in the hotel was enjoyable the staff where polite and friendly and I would recommend the Ramada Plaza to any body who was looking for a hotel in Toronto.
“Downgrade rating?”
I was particularly put off by the person on the reception desk on the day I arrived. He was not at all helpful when I asked about airport transportation that i would require when I checked out. Absolutely minimalist. They should keep on hand the brochure about the bus service to the airport to give to their guests. I walked to nearby hotel to obtain the information where staff were extremely helpful even though I was not one of their guests and I identified myself as being at another hotel. Bathroom had strip heater on floor (inoperable I would hope) that made it feel quite shabby and I noticed the door to the bathroom needed a thorough clean. Lighting was poor. Early morning when I left, concierge was more friendly. I would look for another hotel next time.
“Goog value for the price”
NIce studio room with 2 TV´s, refrigerator, good location.
“Will use again if the rate is right!”
I go into Toronto for an overnight visit once every 2-3 months. I book a downtown hotel with the lowest rate that still looks and sounds like a reasonable place. This was my first stay at this Ramada hotel. I don't know if all the rooms are suites; mine was a corner room. I think it would be a great place for an extended stay -- fridge, microwave, coffee maker, two TVs! When I returned to the room at 2 am after a very big Thanksgiving dinner, there was some confusion about turning on the lights. Turns out there is a master switch on the wall just inside the door. But a call to the desk brought a maintenance person within a couple of minutes which I thought was pretty amazing at that time of night.
“Friendly and Accomdating”
Stayed at the hotel for the Scotia Bank Toronto Marathon. The room rates through Expedia were far superior to the discount rates offered to Marathon participants by other hotels, and was within easy walking distance of the start and finish lines (less than 2km, which is a good warm up and cool down). The rooms were clean, and the bathroom in our room had recently been refurbished (very nice and modern, although lacking towel racks). The hotel staff were extremely accomodating with respect to our request for late check-out, even pushing the time usually allowed from 1:00pm to 2:00pm, and were understanding when one of our party was unable to return to the hotel due to complications and was therefore unable to return her room key card.
