“So so hotel. Standards have slipped.”
Very hard beds and some surly attitudes from some staff. expedia designated rooms very basic. Used to love staying here, but will check other hotels in future.
“Pantages Weekend!”
I went to this hotel because I had heard before that it was a nice, contemporary hotel. The lobby and lounge areas were really nice but once I got up on my floor I noticed that the carpet was looking old and dirty. The hallways were extremely dark and this didn't help with the overall look. I was impressed with my room, which looked clean and comfortable. However, my bathroom smelt musty, with a tinge of urine. I quickly got out my expensive perfume and sprayed the linen and shower curtain. Finally I laid down to sleep and I could hear several people gathering in the hallway and thought that maybe in a few minutes the noise would subside because they were probably passing through...that didn't happen. For over an hour I endured the noise and finally called to the front desk--"it's either me or them!"...they quickly came up and directed the partiers out of the building. The following day I asked the front desk to change me to another room and upgrade my bed to a king...which they did without question and at no additional cost! I was very impressed with their customer service. After that initial night I had a great stay and sleep. I noticed that not each floor was in the same condition as the original floor I was on..which was nice. Overall I had a nice stay and would stay again and even recommend it to friends.
“Quiet Oasis in downtown Toronto”
Well-equiped spacious suite with good amenities. Excellent location. Surprisingly quiet even though it is in a busy neighbourhood. Would definitely stay again.
“Will definitely go back to this hotel.”
Fabulous friendly staff who will bend over backwards to make your stay an enjoyable one. The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance to Dundas Square and the Eaton Center; across the street from Massey Hall. The room was spacious and comfortable and exceptionally clean. The Martini bar was a plus to unwind and socialize.
“Excellent hotel”
My stay at this hotel was wonderful. The room was beautiful, spotless, and had a great view. The staff was always courteous and helpful. I will definitely be staying here on my next visit to Toronto.
“"Absolutely Perfect"”
As stated, "extremely satisfied" in every way. Second time staying at the Pantages, each time of which was perfect in all aspects. Room was wonderful; Service personnel could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Location in down town could not have been better for my purposes [theater]. Strongly recommend this hotel to anyone interested in a specific review on it. Can't imagine staying anywhere else should I care to revisit the city.
“Weekend Getaway!”
Great Location in the heart of downtown. Eatons Centre, shops, cuisine of all varieties in the near vacinty
“great location, beautiful hotel”
The hotel is right by Yonge St and a few blocks from Dunnes Square (Toronto's version of the Times Sq). So location is optimal. This approximity, however, can result in street noise carrying up to your room unless your room is way up. There was also noise from neighboring rooms that we could hear, so sound proofing is not the best. Other than that, really great hotel. No complains and would visit again. Close to everything, including metro. The lobby bar was great, rooms were recently renovated and updated and the hotel service was super friendly.
“my 4 night stay”
I had an amazing stay at pantages it was very clean and the customer service was very good. My expectations were definetly exceeded. I will be staying at Pantages hotel and spa again for sure and I would recommend it to anyone.
“Indifferent”
Closeness to the Canon Theatre make it a real plus--as well as closeness to Roay Alex theatre. Hotel was so-so--room was clean--TV didn't work. I would recommend it to friends who don't know the city only because of its location--there are much nicer places close by-Parking was by valet only--$35--but parking around in open unprotected lots seemed to be about $40.
