“The only Hotel I stay at when I go to Toronto.”
I primarily go to Toronto for concerts or sporting events. The Novotel Toronto Centre is about a five minute walk to the ACC and about a fifteen minute walk to the Rogers Center. Couldn't ask for a better location. The Hotel itself is immaculate and the staff is top notch. Underground parking is available also, as well as a few other ammenitieswhich I have not yet used. Highly recommended.
“Would stay here again”
Great secure hotel one block off Front Street. Close the theatre and dining.
“good downtown location”
Good clean hotel, but custoimer service was lacking, there was no greeting , no smiles, have a good day or anything. As I'm in customer service, I know how important it is. Air conditioner didn't work and never did get fixed in the 4 days there. My husband lost his wallet, and their response when asked if it had been turned in, was a simple "no", nothing else. Won't be back, thet didn't care, and it must be terrible to hate your job so much
“great location, but one glitch”
I was impressed with the convenience of the location of this hotel and its general comfort and opulence. There was, however, one largely offensive moment we faced when we got to our room. Someone tampered with the computer-like QWERTY keyboard meant to operate the TV or related console by switching keys around so the QWER part of the keyboard said a four-letter derogatory word. It was obviously something the hotel failed to notice and we were left with the embarrassing task of telling them about it. We brought the keyboard to a woman at the front desk on the evening of Sept. 3/11 and explained that we found this to be offensive and wanted a different keyboard. Not only did she not apologize, she told us that we should take it back up to our room so the hotel wouldn't note it as missing from our room, and said they would try to get us a different one the next day! I was appalled, but then left it with the front desk so we could go outside and continue a few errands before returning a short time later. When we returned, another more friendly gentleman at the front desk immediately gave us a new keyboard that didn't have the vulgar word spelled out on it, and apologized to us for the oversight. We brought it back up with us to our room and everything else then seemed to be OK. We would have expected a free perk for the error, like free parking or something, but nothing was offered.
“Great Location”
Hotel is in a great location within walking distance of the CN Tower, Historic Distillery district and the harbour front. Lots of restaurants and bars within a 5 minute walk. Try the Keg restaurant across the road for a great steak. We had a hire car and had to pay $23 per night for parking, which isn't too bad considering the prices we've had to pay in other North American cities.
“Extremely bad”
I NEVER RENT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN
“Good hotel and excellent location”
My only problem with the NOVOTEL was the excessive phone bill they charged me. I made 3 short phone calls to Montreal for 45 bucks!!! A complete rip-off!
“Comfortable, adequate”
We were only here for a night to break up a long drive, so we didn't see much. No valet service, but the self-parking area is right next to the hotel (we were told to remove all belongings from the car as "this is downtown Toronto"). Easy walk up to the main shopping/dining area, felt perfectly safe the whole time. Would recommend the hotel to anyone.
“Very Impressed”
Overall it was a great hotel and great stay, would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again when visiting Toronto .... Be sure to check out The Old Spaghetti Factory across the street great food at a reasonable price
“Would use again”
Only problem is the carpet was a little dirty.
