We are regular visitors to Jumeriah Dubai and wanted to try their new hotel!.We stayed here for 5 nights just enough. We stayed in a superior room that had a view to die for! The hotel was beautiful, quiet and the staff were very attentive, even though some could not speak good english. The food was great, we ate in three of the hotels restaurants. The only thing I would say was that the hotel needs to provide information of the hotels facilities in the rooms, the IPAD provided was not much use as it had nothing on it really.
Will definately be back. A quite retreat not too far from England that is very peaceful and so different from busy Dubai.

My friend and I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff were amazing and catered to our every need, we felt like queens. I would recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday and a comfortable environment.
Had a really nice week in Torba. The hotel is lovely and very conveniently located right by the sea. The only negatives were that voyage all-inclusive hotel next door plays loud music at night which is a bit annoying (though of course not sina's fault) and also some of the restaurant staff were not particularly customer-focused. Apart from these minor issues, a great place!

Great facilities. Ten minute taxi ride from anywhere if you want to leave the hotel but they run a shuttle service every hour for about £2 return which is good. Most hotel staff speak very little English and would rather ignore you than even try to understand you. There are some good ones. The entertainment staff are great but most of the bar and kitchen staff look like they don't want to be there. I lost count of the amount of times I asked for something and they just put my order on the bar without even looking at me let alone talking to me. That's if they served me at all without me jumping up and down and getting aggravated.
DO NOT use the Turkish baths. I did with the mrs and I had to get someone sacked as she was made to feel very uncomfortable.
Place is great
Pools are great
Food is ok
Staff are poor

This is my 4th time at the Alkoclar hotel and whilst it is still a great place, there were some irritants this time that I had not experienced before. They are not huge and with a little effort could be corrected easily as they are pretty much linked to the same issue. Whilst I fully understand that when in Turkey, Turkish is the language spoken and having studied Turkish previously, I do have some understanding of the language and some vocab. However, the guides in the room are completely in Turkish and so instructions on how to use the air con, TV and CD player are all in Turkish. I am an intelligent person and as such can usually work out how to use appliances without guides but none of these appliances worked by using the remote without first having to use some of the buttons on the actual appliances which is not that obvious, but could be easily explained in the guide, if there was one!! We had to call people to the room to sort this out several times. The problem with niggles is it starts you thinking about other things that are small but still a little annoying but again, easily put right. The shower head leaves a lot to be desired. It probably just needs the lime scale removed for the water to flow out of the holes properly. We didn't report this as we had already had them out for all the afore mentioned issues. My last two moans relate to the safe which is positioned on the floor of the wardrobe which makes it quite awkward when using it all the time and the fridge.
Although easily accessible off the highway north from Bodrum, Torba remains one of the quieter resort towns on the peninsula. The gravel beach faces north towards the Didum peninsula, and is ringed by many restaurants serving seafood and mezes, the traditional Turkish small plates. The ruins of the ancient city of Pedasa, including a remarkably well-preserved amphitheater, are just to the south.
