“Good for long term, bad for short stay”
OK facilyt, nice staff, poor location for quick tourism since it is not located near anything special. 2 star rooms. No room service. Good for long term stays, not short touist stays.
“Weekly Mansion Akasaka”
The hotel was ok, it was just quite a distance form anything. The subway is nearby but Roppongi Crossing is about 25 minutes walk away. Would stay at the Somerst in Roppongi next time. Don't try to activate to activate the phone in your room. I paid a dposit, used a pre-paid phone card and was told that I had used my deposit up. Was a hassle to get it back at checkout. No room cleaning during stay so you have to go out and buy your own cleaning products. Corridor can get very noisy with doors slamming during night.
“Good location and prices. Ok room.”
The hotel is in a good location, close to three subway lines. The room is spacious enough, but being a "weekly", rather than a hotel, as the staff will promptly explain, you will not have any service to your room during your stay, including cleaning. But it's a good value and I'd stay again, if for a short period.
“Great price, great rooms, great location.”
A few block walk from the Akasaka-dori and the Akasaka stop of the Marunouchi Line, this Weekly Mansion is located in a convenient part of Tokyo. Akasaka-dori is lined with many restaurant, including familiar western establishments as well as some of the local chains. In addition, there is Akasak Biz Tower, a business complex with many more shops and restaurants (For the beer aficionado, it houses Tokyo’s Delirium Café, which is part of the reason I choose the hotel. For night life, the hotel is a 15 minute walk from Roppongi, an area fill with bars and clubs and popular with westerners. As far as the hotel, the rooms were very clean and surprisingly large. The bathrooms are small and resemble that of a motor home (i.e. the toilet is right in front of the door), but after traveling around Japan I now know that this is the norm. Overall, a great place to stay.
