“Clean, good location but windows didn't open”
I am used to staying in Tokyo hotels so I was not surprised with the small room but I was quite upset that I was unable to open the window at all. Some hotels you have to call down to the lobby to ask them to open it which is fine but here they told me that they were unable to open the window at all. Other than that, the room was clean and quite stylish. Rather small but you expect that from most hotels in Tokyo, especially ones classified in the 'business hotel' type.
“great value, great location”
This is a great value hotel in a great location near the Imperial Palace and Akasaka (10min walking distance to two train stations, 2min nearest subway). Arguably the semi double rooms are small, but perfectly adequate. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful.
“Amazing Stay”
Tokyo Green Palace is an amazing hotel at the heart of central Tokyo. The staff are ever so polite and helpful, every little detail in the room is well-thought, the quality of the restaurant/breakfast outstanding. I would strongly recommend it whether you travel for holidays or business. I can't wait to visit again!
“convenience in a quiet neighbourhood”
Tokyo Green Palace hotel is located in a quiet neighbourhood (Israeli embassy is right across the street) with unmatched convenience (7-11 and metro being 1 minute away). Whether during the day or walking back at 10pm it felt safe. Downtown Tokyo, Ginza, Shijuku, Shibuya, Ikebukuro, Akihabara or Tsukiji Market are all around or under 15 minutes train ride away from 4 different metro/train stations a few minutes walk from the hotel. I prefer not to be right in the middle of the action so this neighbourhood is perfect. Rooms are small as usual in Japan but functional and pleasant (being recently renovated in 2010). Staff was courteous and tried very hard to provide good service. Spoken English is a little limited. As long as you don't leave complicated instructions you should be fine. Told the hotel about some smell from the sewer I ended up blocking by plugging the drainage of the basin and bathtub. They need to look into the U pipe or what not I think. Space for hanging clothes slightly limited esp for ladies and business travelers. The instant tea and coffee was a bit of a let down. Real tea bags would have been nice. All in all, I'd go back if rate was good. It was overall a very enjoyable stay.
“excellent hotel”
great on all counts
“2 weeks in Tokyo Green Palace”
I'm very satisfied that I've chosen this hotel from many others. Firstly, the location is hard to beat - there are few subway/JR stations in 5-10 minutes walk (Kojimachi, Ichigaya, Hanzomon, and Yotsuya), one can quickly get anywhere in Tokyo. Secondly, though room was small (and I'm a big guy!) it was very comfortable and handy. I have just one complaint - there isn't enough space for hanging clothes, the rest is ok. Thirdly, the stuff was friendly, helpful, and accessible at any time of day and night. I would highly recommend Tokyo Green Palace to all those travellers who aren't chasing the extravagancies but want to get really convenient place for reasonable price.
“smaller than small”
pleasant staff, limited understanding of english but still tried to be helpful. room smaller than described. close to subway but depending on your destination, transfers are necessary so may not be as convenient as described.
“Very handy little hotel”
The location is goo for business - very close to JR lines and Hanzomon subway lines. The hotel used to be only available to persons living or working in the Chiyoda-Ku area, but as of 2 years ago is open to the public. Reasonable prices and remodeled rooms.
“Tokyo green palace, excellent staff, excellent hotel”
I travelled from London England ALONE to Tokyo for a 3 week vacation. I was very surprised how simple it was travelling from Tokyo Narita airport to Tokyo Green palace hotel, one Express train, and then another train to the station Right next to the Hotel… I would not advise getting a Taxi, you really don’t want to start your holiday spending A LOT of money just getting to your hotel. Learn the polite Basic greetings and questions before you go to japan, being polite will get you a LONG way in Tokyo trust me! The hotel staff was VERY polite and very helpful, their English was impressive!, I was in a single room, which was very clean just as the rest of the hotel, the room would have been perfect, but there were no closets in the room, that wasn’t so bad since everything was pretty much Great!, room was a Good size for a single, wide screen TV was nice addition, And while I was getting over my jet lag, being awake at random times in the night, it helped a lot. Maids spoke Basic English, if you’re asleep while they knock for room service, just make an ‘X’ with your hands and say think you in Japanese, and they will come back. 24 hr. 7/11 2minutes round the corner, very useful, with extremely polite staff, kujimachi station RIGHT next to it, 2 entrances, VERY!! Convenient 2 other station 7 minutes nearby also. I was so IMPRESSED; with the HELPFUL hotel staff that the night before I left; I gave them 2 boxes of chocolates to show my appreciation...i enjoyed my self A LOT!
“Tokyo hidden gem”
My overall experience with this hotel is very positive. The staffs are very friendly and understand english. The room size is ok at this price level. The hotel is located just a minute walk from the subway station (exit 6) but i would suggest using JR (7 mins walk) if you have a JR pass. Internet connection (free) is available in all rooms and some have WIFI access. So if you want to use your smart phone to access the internet, you may want to request a room with WIFI access.
