Too bad that the main building of the Okura is being torn down and replaced for the Olympics. This is an older property, but it is elegant in an understated way. My only complaint is that the bar allows smoking. There is a no smoking room off the bar. I think the bar should be non-smoking entirely.
The staff are fantastic! But, the polite treatment is what one expects from upper end Japanese hotels.
Food and drink are expensive, but this is the Okura. There are plenty of other fine dining options nearby.
I highly recommend.
One of my favorite 'b' Hotels. I will stay in a 'b' Hotel anytime there is one, when I travel to Japan. They all seem to be very well located.
This one has large bathrooms, and good breakfast, with outdoor seating. A good thing to know about thus location, is that there is an elevator from beside the TBS building to street level of the Hotel. This is great when you have luggage!

"Everyone should experience this hotel at least 1x"
I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel. It is by far the finest hotel experience I've ever had (and I've stayed in other luxury hotels elsewhere in the world). My praise extends to the room, which is packed with amenities both big and small that make you feel like a king/queen. As an example, the curtains that go up/down at a touch of a button (located at your bedside) that open onto your stunning view of Tokyo (awesome day and especially night). My praise also extends to the staff who are so attentive and friendly. Regardless of their designated title, they helped respond to my requests quickly and eagerly. They welcomed me when I came back to the hotel and wished me a good day as I departed. The staff truly cared about me and what I wanted. The Cantonese restaurant had tasty food (even the tea menu was amazing), and the staff were just as attentive and caring. This was truly an amazing experience. That's why I titled the review as everyone should experience this hotel at least once. Chances are, though, that you'll want to experience it many times after that.
"Very good and quiet hotel between Meguro and Shina"
I had a double room (2 beds) on the 8th floor. Size is sufficient (large by Tokyo standard), modern bathroom with tub and "luxury" toilet, coffee machine, water boiler, good wifi.
Shuttle every 15 minutes to Shinagawa in the AM and Meguro all day (about 1km away) on the Yamanote line. Metro at 200m (Shirokanegai station).
Most restaurants at Meguro, many 7-11s and FamilyMart nearby, if you want to eat in your room.
A couple of excellent bakeries nearby (Boulangerie Kaiser, Atelier de Reve)
