From the first minute you walk in the staff make you feel welcome. The quality oozes out of every aspect of this hotel, whether it be the high level of service, excellent food or immaculately prepared rooms. The atmosphere is a pleasant mix of contemporary design with a subtle dollop of Japanese style.
It didn't matter if it was in the restaurants, bar or with the concierge the welcome was warm and helpful.

Not enough good things can be said about the Hotel Okura. The lobby is beautifully designed, the staff are courteous and the rooms are comfortable with free wifi. The location is excellent and close to three subway stations as well as many interesting places including Roppongi Hills, Azabu Juban, Aoyama and Nishi-Azabu. Thankfully they will be keeping the South Wing of the hotel. Dear Hotel Okura, please keep the beautiful heritage of the main building and preserve it when you build the new main building. The Hotel Okura is highly recommended - 5 stars.
We have been travelling for 9 months, and this was one of the most impressive hotels we've stayed in. It's has quite small rooms, which is typical of Tokyo, but this is mitigated by the excellent design, quality, cleanliness, and good working order of everything. Staff are friendly and helpful. We found it difficult to book rooms in Tokyo, so prices were on the high side. But this hotel, was relatively well priced, is in an excellent location for visiting all of Tokyo, and is within a 4 minute walk of the Akasaka underground station. It is rather difficult to find if you don't have a detailed map: we took a taxi from Nareda airport on arrival, and were thankful we did. Once there, there was no difficulty finding it again. We'd also strongly recommend a sushi bar on the 2nd floor of the Akasaka station building - on the Tokyo Broadcasting Service (TBS) side.
Situated in the city center, this design-savvy hotel is within 1 km (less than a mile) of the Roppongi and Aoyama districts …More
The hotel is nice and clean and has very friendly staff. The room was of reasonable size with very comfortable bed. It has great views over the bay. The hotel has very easy access from/to the Haneda
Airport using the shuttle bus service that delivers and also picks you from the front door of the hotel.
My flight arrived late at night and the staff was very accommodating. I suffer from very bad asthma and often have difficulties with hotel rooms because most hotels outside of the U.S. allow smoking. But Hotel Nikko was clean with no traces of smoking In the rooms. The location was beautiful and very relaxing after a very long flight. Will definitely stay at the Hotel Nikko whenever I am in Tokyo.
Hands down the best hotel in Tokyo. Expensive, yes, but well worth every penny. From the customer service to views to the guest rooms and suites to the hotel bars and restaurants, everything is five stars.
"Everyone should experience this hotel at least 1x"
I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel. It is by far the finest hotel experience I've ever had (and I've stayed in other luxury hotels elsewhere in the world). My praise extends to the room, which is packed with amenities both big and small that make you feel like a king/queen. As an example, the curtains that go up/down at a touch of a button (located at your bedside) that open onto your stunning view of Tokyo (awesome day and especially night). My praise also extends to the staff who are so attentive and friendly. Regardless of their designated title, they helped respond to my requests quickly and eagerly. They welcomed me when I came back to the hotel and wished me a good day as I departed. The staff truly cared about me and what I wanted. The Cantonese restaurant had tasty food (even the tea menu was amazing), and the staff were just as attentive and caring. This was truly an amazing experience. That's why I titled the review as everyone should experience this hotel at least once. Chances are, though, that you'll want to experience it many times after that.
Staff is very welcoming beginning with arrival. Staff appear to be sincerely gracious and helpful without any sense of wanting to be rewarded in any way. Concierge was most helpful in advising regarding sightseeing, means of travel etc. Only negative was the high price of the various restaurants in the hotel for mediocre meals (at least in one of the restaurants we tried. although the breakfast buffet with a great garden view was very good.
