No temperature control in the room
I stayed mid-February and it very warm in Japan. The rooms have no ventilation system beyond a dinky fan. When I called to say that the air condition wasn't working, they said there was no air conditioning because it was winter... Yes it's winter but also 70 degrees outside, 60+% humidity, and no windows. Needless to say, it started to smell musty in the room, especially after showering, and it was unbearably hot.

This hotel is very close to the train station and the best of Shinjuku. The property also has many restaurants and bars for a variety of local cuisine, right on-site.

Average, old, inconvenient but discreet.
Location: not so convenient for sight seeing. This was probably built with the domestic business traveller in mind. Walking to and from the station is time consuming and easy to get lost if you need to use multiple train systems. Annex building situated behind main building with no direct connection, inconvenient in bad weather. Renovation of Annex building: average. Room: appears clean, but not very well maintained. Table was worn down, bedsheets look visibly used. Window was locked and airconditioner unit is not independantly controlled, so ventilation was poor at times. Not enough lights, lighting was too dim. Fridge was barely cold enough at 15°c. Annex Downstairs: coin-op laundry, multiple machines. Waiting space with computers, over priced vending machines, icemaker (bring the bucket from your room) and some seating. Main Downstairs: a mini mall area with restaurants, conbini, shops and a karaoke.

Room was having issues with HVAC in the month of January! How is this possible? Shower door has massive lip on it. which can cause you to trip. Service was fast to get a fan to the room for HVAC issue. Location was pretty good. Depending on what side of train station you wanna be on

Convenient hotel where airport bus has a stop directly, roughly 10mins walk from shinjuku JR station/express bus terminal. Staff friendly and bit extra check out time for expedia members. Hotel slightly dated with the rooms has a very very slight feeling of dusty.

Huge rooms by Tokyo standards, at a reasonable price. Good onsite facilities, although no spa/onsen. 10 minute walk to Shinjuku, whether that's convenient or not really depends on which line you need and which exit it's close to as Shinjuku station is enormous and you can easily get lost there or take minutes to change between lines.

Everything about the stay was okay. The location is not central to Shinjuku and still about a 10-15 minute walk to the center. The size was average for rooms in Japan, but I was most unhappy with the bathroom odor. The bathroom has a strong urine smell and made it hard to breathe while inside. Because of that, I wouldn't stay here again.

Nice & clean twin room. 10-15 minutes walk from Shinjuku JR Station but underground walkway closed at 11pm. 24hrs Family Mart in the hotel. Limousine bus stops beside the main block.

The staff and hotel were very nice and professional, however the room (and bathroom) was too small for one person, let alone a couple. Would only recommend this place is travelling light. Great location though.

The location was an easy walk to the metro station. There was lots of restaurant within 2 blocks. The hotel also had plenty of restaurants to choose from.

The room was smaller than what was represented in the photos of the room type he got but the size was typical for a Tokyo hotel room. The location was convenient (the Limousine Bus stops at the hotel and Shinjuku Station can be accessed via the underground passageway so we didn't have to deal directly with the summer heat) and the stay was uneventful (in a good way). Although the decor was somewhat dated, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the the area was quiet.

Value for money Hotel in Shinjuku area
I have read review that people complained about the size of the hotel room but I feel that the room size is comfortable for 2 person (yes, it is much smaller than normal hotel in other Asian city). The room has probably a super single sized bed (it seems slightly smaller than a queen sized bed) but still comfortable for us (we are not big sized to be fair). There are room to place 2 luggage on the floor and there is a desk/table in the corner where the TV is located. The room is clean and the aircon is central controlled i.e. you cannot change the aircon temperature but you can only change the fan speed. At times it felt a bit cold and we just turn off the aircon for a while. Location wise is quite good for the price you pay. You can walk to Shinjuku station in about 10 min either using underground walkway (great if it rains or snows) or on the street. The Narita Limousine bus stops beside the main Washington Hotel which is convenient. There are a number of restaurants (Indian, Japanese, Western) located at the main Washington Hotel (just the next building) as well.

Room with two beds was spacious for Japanese standards. Location was convenient: airport bus stop nearby, Shinjuku station 10min walk. Hotel is very dated though - things were clean and in working order, but I felt like I was living in Japan in the 90s.

Washington Annex has delicious breakfast, clean and QUIET! Annex sold us the airport bus to Narita Airport... Airport limousine bus leaves from the main hotel...very convenient and the hotel personnel are very helpful and efficient in checking us in on departure day....tagging suitcases and loading onto bus. Convenient location to train stations.
