It wasn’t anything special, but a comfy place to come back to and chill/sleep. Compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at in Tokyo, the bed was soft and plush, and the shower was easy to work. I got my money’s worth!

Awesome hotel
Great location at the heart of Ikebukuro. Ending up staying there for 10 days. Definitely will stay here again on my next visit to Tokyo!

Location is good. Very convenient. Lots of eateries with very good price. Ideal accommodation for budget travelers. Staff took extra effort to make birthday gal felt special. Is really an extra miles. Good service. Friendly staff. One thing to note, room size is small. But good enough for 2 pax.

Wonderful Sakura
Good: Nice firm mattress and pillows. Location close to train station makes travelling easier for guests. Sweet hotel name; wonder what it would look like with Sakura trees planted outside its location during spring time. Not so good: Bath tub can be longer so can soak more comfortably.

Staff are helpful and are all effectively bilingual. After I checked out, I was also allowed to leave my luggage at the hotel for a day before retrieving it the next day. There is a water dispenser to fill our bottles before heading out for the day. On the 6th floor there is also a communal kitchen where we can use the microwave. Lastly, the hotel seemed like a long walk from ikebukuro station, but if you take exit C6 (Echika Exit), you will reach the hotel in 1 min. C6 also has escalators for those taking public transport with their luggage!

Very convenient stay when you arrived late nite at the airport. I took airport limobus to ikebukuro station West exit. The hotel just around 5min walk if you not lost the way.

Staying experience
The airconditioning of the room was quite noisy and I was not sure if I could provide feedback to the hotel staff to fix it. In general, it is ok as the price is reasonable. Room was small for sure in Japan and moreover, I have requested extra sofa bed.

Great value and location
The bilingual staff was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was surprisingly good for coffees/teas. Loved that they supplied milk instead of creamers. The soup was good too. Didn’t care for white bread but for the price it was fine. Left my bag for the day which was a nice option provided. The sheets were crispy cleaned and the bathroom across from the room and very convenient. The location is ideal as the station is close and easy to find. The shops nearby make shopping a breeze and there are plenty of inexpensive restaurants to choose from. Most of all you meet very interesting people who stay there. The kitchen provides enough to making a meal quite easy. They provide spices, oils, dishes, pots, and pans. These little things make cooking much better. There’s not much space between beds but again for the price I can’t complain.

Easy access from Ikebukuro Station. Nice restaurants around. We have three children with us so we needed to have two small rooms, but our kids loved being in this hotel. Thank you Sakura hotel in Ikebukuro!

Pretty wild place. There staff is easy to communicate with English also one of the ohteres are Spanish , Korean also French. I recommend breakfast included.becouse 04:30 ,we could enjoy good coffee with bred. See yaeh

Good location, but it was a bit run-down, which is not a problem, but it was also a bit dirty and smelly in the toilet area. Not dreadful, but kind of a nuance.

Very friendly and welcoming staff and service. The room was very clean and we received fresh towels on our door each day, despite leaving the ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign on the door. This hotel is in a great location (Ikebukuro) with lots of food options and rail station nearby. The mattresses were quite stiff for those used to softer ones, but otherwise our experience was great!

A great vibe here for people not looking to stay in a typical business hotel. Much more relaxed but still has the amenities needed and a decent price. Only a 5 min walk from a major train station makes it extremely convenient. Just had my 2nd stay here, and it enjoyed it.
