“very comfortable hotel”
We stayed in the premier double room with king bed.Very tasteful decor. Great shower and a bath. Nice toiletries. Silent and polite service.Staff were very helpful with ironing boards and a transformer so we could use our electical bits. The bed was very comfortable and the view from the 39th floor was spectacular -- especially in a thunderstorm !
“Good hotel in perfect location for Shinjuku station”
I use this hotel on business. It is comfortable and very convenient for Shinjuku station.
“an excellent hotel in an excellent city”
Keio plaza hotel is one of the nicest hotel I have been to. The location is fantastic, it is very close to the main station of Shinjuku and all the shops and restaurants and still in a very quiet area. The staff are very polite. Our room was on the 24th floor and we had a very nice view, the room itself was quite big and very comfortable. I definitely go back again. I just loved it.
“Great Tokyo Hotel”
Big, efficient, hotel very central 5 mins walk from Shinjuku station. All amenities - esp free internet in room (although not wireless). Breakfast restaurant was very crowded and nothing special so I only went once but there are dozens of better places to eat within a few minutes. Shops in hotel where you can buy food as wella s restaurants. Room very big for Tokyo - upgraded to king size bed. Airport limo direct from hotel. Staff very helpful and speak English
“Good reliable hotel”
I tend to stay at the Keio Plaza everytime i'm in Tokyo (twice a year), and always find it reliable and convenient. Good staff service (very helpful concierge staff especially), and well-kept & comfy rooms are large & have all you need - including free internet access. Also great that there's a cheap convenience store in the basement. Disappointing Business Centre though - which closes at 5pm at weekends - beware! & i never eat in the hotel's restaurants as there are loads of great, cheaper options nearby. But overall great location and, apart from the Business Centre, has all you need for a business trip.
“Worth the Money”
For me and my girlfriend, the Keio Plaza was a 1 night treat at the end of a 16 day holiday in Japan and wow what a place. We payed the extra for a premier room which are situated on the 35th to 39th floors and were really pleased that we did. Unsuprisingly, the view is amazing regardless of which side you are looking out of and the rooms were also great as well. We only reluctantly left it to get food as it was so relaxing. The facilities are also fantastic, loads of restaurants to choose from that will cater for most budgets, excellent service and all in all it was great value for what we received.
“Great base for a trip to Tokyo”
Although Shibuya wouldn't be my first choice as a place to based in Tokyo, the quality of the Keio Plaza Hotel and the fact that Shibuya Station is a great central base for the rail network around Tokyo, means I would definitely stay there again.
“Great location”
The room was very comfortable and the hotel itself is in a great location. 5 minutes walk from Shinjuku station from where it is very easy to get around. Get a Pasmo, it's a card you can top up and saves you having to hunt around for change on the subway! We didn't use any of the hotel's other facilities but any questions we had were easily answered. They also made our return booking for the limousine bus which was very handy. i would recommend going to the Sumitomo building, there are lots of restaurants on the 52nd floor and you get a great view. Also if you like Italian food there is a very nice restaurant called Pizza Salvatore less than 5 minutes walk away. Overall I would recommend this hotel or the Tokyo Hilton both as great places to stay in Shinjuku!
“Great Place to Stay”
Reading through some of the reviews of this hotel, I get the impression that some people need to get over themselves. This was a great hotel, situated in a brilliant part of Tokyo, with large, clean rooms and incredibly friendly staff. If you like small boutique places, stay somewhere else, but quite frankly I can find very little fault with this place (I was in one of the un-refurbished rooms, and you know what, it didn't shock my sensibilities one little bit). Great views over Tokyo (in our case including Mount Fuji). Free internet, which was fabulous. An amazing bonzai display over New Year in the lobby (which is enormous). If I was going back to Tokyo tomorrow, and I wish I was, I would stay here again.
“Good trip”
We spent 5 nights at the Keio Plaza Hotel and apart from a glitch at check in the hotel was everything we could ask for. Perfectly located for exploring Tokyo and directly opposite the Government Building with a fabulous view of the City for free from the 45th floor obsevation deck. Shinjuku station just a 5 minutes walk away. We would advise taking the Limousine Bus to the hotel from the airport. It departs from just outside the airport terminal and drops you right at the hotel. The weather was dire for most of the week abd we got very wet but overall we had a great time. Tokyo itself is extremely expensive and if we get the opportunity to visit Japan again i think we would head for one of the more traditional Japanese Cities.
