“Ok as last resort- do not plan on staying more than one night”

Room was extremely small for the rate. Lots of street noise. Located off trolley which runs to and from main train station a big plus. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Area recommendations
Limmataguäi and Zähringer Str. would be ideal due to the large number of good dining establishments
Getting there
Use the light rail from the main train station. Very easy access and runs every 5 minutes.

“Would definitely stay here again”

Excellent service, clean rooms and great location - only 20 min walk/10 min taxi ride from Tokyo Station. Near all major sites and down the street from the Metro station. Staff does their best to accommodate you and help you with any issues you have. The neighborhood is pretty quite, mainly offices and residences, which is nice to go back to at the end of a hectic day! Convenient stores located a block away that have have food personal items if needed. If I was going back to Tokyo I would definitely stay here again!

Area recommendations
I would recommend staying in the Eastern part of Tokyo near Tokyo Station and Ginza - it seems to be less crowed (esp. during the morning commute) as oppose to Shibuya and Shinjuku.
When to go
Late March, early April for Cherry Blossom viewing.
Shopping
Ginza - at the department stores. Go to the basement or lower level floors in the stores for amazing food selections!

“Value for money”

This hotel has been a great surprise. According to the reviews provided by other travellers, my wife and I were expecting a terribly small room. To our surprise, even though we can't say we stayed in a spacious room, it was large enough for us to move around and accommodate our suitcases. Staff are very polite and try to be helpful, speaking fairly good English. Breakfast is simple but good enough for the price you pay. The hotel is located a couple of minutes walk from an underground station, so pretty convenient overall. In sum, a very good option for singles/couples travelling within a budget.

Area recommendations
Harajuko, Shibuya.
Traveller's tip
A 30mins/1hr act of a play at the (soon to be demolished) Kabuki-za theatre.
