“Excellent hotel in lively location”
The Sunroute Akasaka is brilliantly located - 30 seconds from the Akasaka Mitsuke tube entrance, and there are many nearby convenience stores for food (fridges in hotel rooms too). The room I had was compact, but just enough space. No views, but I'm not sure I wanted one in downtown Akasaka's drinking district! Everything worked well, and the staff were very helpful (though we communicated in Japanese for the most part). Breakfast was included in my package, and at a proper coffee shop adjoining the hotel, so that was a real bonus (though the breakfast choice was a bit limited).
“Great Location”
I stayed in this hotel since I had reservations at a few restaurants in Tokyo over the Memorial Day weekend. What a great hub for recharging! The location was perfect. Subways were a few minutes from the hotel. The room was typically small for a Japanese hotel, but the bed was surprisingly comfortable. Free breakfast was very nice. Hotel staff was pleasant, but won't let anyone other than who is on the room listing in the room (no guests allowed in rooms). I opted not to spend Y1000 to buy the TV card, and there was no wifi, only cable. I enjoyed mostly the neighborhood, restaurants, bars, karaoke bars, and small shops that littered the streets outside the hotel. It was a nice, upscale, clean neighborhood.
“The Hotel Sunroute Akasaka is really good.”
We really liked the Hotel Sunroute Akasaka. The hotel's location is perfect. Most requested subway station Akasaka-mitsuke is in three minutes walk from the hotel. Maintenance of the hotel was efficient, unobtrusive and highly qualified. Unfortunately, our computer could not connected to the hotel’s internet, but in the room was the hotel’s computer and we were able partially to solve our problems with it. We recommend that all travelers to stay in the Hotel Sunroute Akasaka.
“Vladimir”
This Hotel was a complete suprise for us !!. The location is great. Close to the subway and with all the places you need around. The room is litlle but nice, modern, complete, well decorated and very comfortable. The service is excellent. The breakfast is really good. We like very much the TV/ computer with internet device in the room cause our notebook had been damaged days before and we hat to make other flights and hotel confirmations for the rest of our trip. The best is that it was included. Good price and value balance. I recomend it.
“Akasaka Hotel great experience”
The hotel was tucked away in the Akasaka area. It was a very short walk with luggage from the Excel Hotel where the bus dropped off is from the airport. I was easy to find thanks to some pre-scouting using Google street view, otherwise it might be difficult to notice/find. The hotel staff were very helpful and understanding. If their english was not good, they would try their best to get the understanding across (overall English was very good and they were helpful with pointing out interesting things in the area). Lots of information booklets located in the lobby. The room was very clean and tidy. The included computer/TV was very helpful in searching for things around the area and on the net. No wireless so bring a ethernet cable to gain access to the high speed internet. The options was given to be more environmentally minded and skip cleaning the room and changing the sheets and towels. Instead a quick tidy up would be done if requested. Otherwise, you get a full immaculately clean service done. Overall I would recommend this Hotel and stay there again, it is right in the heart on many restaurants and shops of the Akasaka area (10 min walk to metro). Only issue was with the small size of the room, but that is common in Tokyo.
“Good base for Tokyo exploration”
The room is small, the bathroom is tiny, but if you are in Tokyo as a tourist this should not bother you much as you won't spend much time in the room anyway. The big plus is a TV monitor that doubles as a computer. I had to spend ~45min to configure mine with English (OS in Japanese), but after that it has been very useful. The hotel location is very good - there are a couple of mini markets, quite a few restaurants, and even McDonalds and Subway right outside the hotel; no more than 2-3 minutes walk. The staff speak very basic English.
“Akasaka sunroute”
amazing hotel and stuff with the appropriate price. central location and doesnt get so much noise from the street.
“ideal location”
i arrived about 14.00 so left bags at reception and went round the courner and was surprised to find a matsuri festival going on with dozens of floats anthe last night of my stay came across a jazz/swing festival in the street in the same area of akasaka.when i checked in i had a japanese friend with me and they were a little funny about having guest that wernt lodgers in the hotel the room was really nice though the view out the window was a wall & alley way. they bed was a bit hard but got used to it. the breakfast was complimentaryin the excellsior cafe next door though the food was microwaved it seemed. the internet was usefull to check emails and browse the internet. there was also a laundry service but was very dear and seemed to charge by the item also massages were available for a price. overall nice place location and price as youll spend most of your time out seeing the sights anyway.
