“Great Value”

great location, right next to Tokyo Station. Within 200m is the Shangri-La and Four Seasons so is definately a good area. Great shopping district a few minutes walk, lots of good restaurants nearby. The only downside is the smallish rooms, but this is the norm for Tokyo.

“david”

small room but it's normal in Tokyo, just accross the street to go to the bullet train station. No free wi-fi, no breakfast. You can find all product and food at the mall Daimuro.

“Great hotel in great location”

We only stayed one night in the Hotel Ryumeikan in Tokyo after we came back from Kyoto by train and before we caught the Narita Express early the next morning so the location a few minutes walk from Tokyo station was ideal. The hotel is modern, rooms are a good size, bathroom very compact (as usual in Japan) and there are plenty of restaurants in the area, also a Family Mart convenience store right next door. Overall a very pleasant stay, would recommend.

“Nice, modern hotel close to Tokyo Station”

Hotel: This hotel had great accommodations with modern decor and high tech rooms. However, as expected from rooms in Japan, the rooms are a little snug but that doesn't distract from how nice this hotel is. The staff are also helpful and speak English well. Location: Transportation for getting around the city is easy to find as this hotel is about 2 blocks from Tokyo Station and has several subway stations nearby. We travelled to Shinjuku, Asakusa, Shibuya, Ginza, Tsukiji Fish Market, caught the Shinkansen, and the Narita Express to and from the airport with ease. The only tiny draw back is that this hotel seems mostly surrounded by business buildings with only nearby restaurants and the stores in Tokyo Station for interest. Overall, I enjoyed this hotel very much and I would stay at it again for my next trip back to Japan.

Area recommendations
Shibuya is pretty amazing for shopping and people watching. The Shibuya Station is the most used station in Tokyo and is home to the famous all directional cross walk. It's definitely an area to check out at night since the lights of the building are a sight to see and will remind you of Times Square in New York City.
When to go
Autumn in Japan is absolutely beautiful! The colors of the trees are turning and look amazing in pictures. The weather is also fairly mild, in the 60's, so it's great to walk around in all day.
Dining
My only recommendation for Japan food is what a friend recommended to me: eat everything. If something looks good or interesting to you, don't hold back and try it! For whatever reason, everything tastes better in Japan!

“Small & Tidy”

We stayed in this hotel in May. It is very convenient because it's less than a 5 minute walk to Tokyo's main station. It was not difficult to find, though the reception desk is on the 15th floor (never seen that before). We chose this hotel because we needed to stay one night in Tokyo before catching the train (NEX) to the airport. This location allowed us to jump right on that train first thing in the morning. The room is small by North American standards, but very clean, tidy, and well-organized. It was a reasonable price, especially considering that we were in Ginza - a very expensive shopping area/downtown business area. Overall, we were very pleased and would go back to stay again.

Area recommendations
We stayed in a "vacation rental" apartment in Shibuya. We would recommend staying there because there's lots going on at night - many restaurants, shopping, etc are open late - yet if you stay off the main street, it's still quiet. We chose a place close to Shibuya station so that it would be convenient to take the train/subway anywhere.

“Fabulous location, every possible convenience”

This hotel was excellent value. Small room but with every possible convenience including fridge, kettle, TV, free wifi, bath AND shower - even origami papers and instructions should you find yourself with time on your hands! The location is also fabulous - just 2 blocks from the famous Mitsukoshi , Tokyo's oldest and most glamorous department store, and a short walk from the heart of Ginza. And Tokyo Station just up the road makes getting anywhere at all pretty easy. On a sunny day, the short walk tot he Imperial Palace and Gardens is also a bonus. Staff friendly and helpful, great top floor lounge to relax in and drink tea and read books from the library. Lots of coffee shops within a minute's walk and also a Family Mart shop just next door. Can't recommend highly enough.

“Excellent hospitality and great location”

Took the Narita Express (NEX) from Narita Airport to Tokyo Station. Exited at Yuetsu North Exit of the train station and hotel was in visible site. Very easy for my wife and my 2 kids (2 & 6) to walk to the station daily form the hotel. Staff spoke good English and gave good advise and guided us to having a great holiday. At the entrance of the Hotel there is a convinient store. Surrounding the hotel there are many restaurants. Walking distance to 2 Halal Restaurants and close enough for my kids to even walk to Ginza in winter. Everything within reach. Disneland, DisneySea, Universal Studios, Ski Slopes/Resorts all a train ride away. Very grateful for a pleasant stay.

“Easy access to railstation”

Perfect for travelers moving on to other destinations because of it's proximity to Tokyo Station - It's literally across the street. The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful; The rooms are small but very modern and comfortable.
