"Close to transport and decent breakfast"
I stayed here for a week as a base for exploring Tokyo. It was a good location - Suidobashi isn't a hotspot for tourists, and the hotel itself is set a block back from a main road, so it was fairly quiet. But it's 5 minutes walk to the JR station, and across the river is the subway station, so it's great for getting around Tokyo. The room itself was very nice. It was adequate size; other travelers might comment on how small it is but this is typical of anywhere in Japan. I was traveling by myself so it was no problem. The room had a large single bed, and a washer-dryer with English instructions (washing powder can be bought in single serves from reception). There is a small fridge in the room but I think it only works when the room is powered - ie your room key is plugged in. So it will refrigerate overnight but not while you're out during the day. The staff spoke good English. The room included buffet breakfast, which was pretty good compared to most Japanese hotels: toast, juice, tea & coffee, a salad, and a rotating hot food menu which included fried rice, scrambled eggs, hamburger steaks in sauce, and curry chicken. The room included free wifi which was reliable and worked well.

"Central location and comfortable stay"
For the price, this is a fantastic hotel close to both a subway station and the Kanda JR station. The staff are excellent and helpful and generally can speak English adequately. There is a bed, cooking facilities, desk and tv. The bathroom is a little cramped but otherwise excellent. I would highly recommend this place for people looking to stay in a hotel on a budget.

"excellent stay!"
the hotel is very well kept. the staff was friendly. my room was bigger than I originally expected and very clean. temperature control in the room is a huge plus. location is short walk to station and there are plenty of good eateries in close proximity. also a small grocery store next door. my stay at Candeo was great!

"Good location"
The hotel was quite close to the Ikebukoro station and shopping areas. It was a little hard to find at first - no fault of the hotel though. Staff were very helpful. The rooms felt a bit small, but then I am 6'2" in height. They were perfectly acceptable rooms and we both enjoyed our stay.

"Excellent location, rooms and service"
Over the past 10 years we've stayed in a variety of hotels in the Asakusa area. This is a new hotel and very conveniently located right across from Kaminari-mon. The room sizes are generous for Tokyo. They provided pajamas! I also loved that the hotel has the lobby on the 13th floor so the view is great and access to the roof top is also convenient. This hotel will now be our go to hotel when we travel to Tokyo, which we do every few years.
