“Good for the price and location”
I selected this hotel for its location and was not disappointed. The rooms and furniture area bit old but Overall. The rooms are quite large which was a surprise.
“Good location, good size, new room, clean”
Got a suite on the 16th floor, nice size (60 sqm). Room looks quite new, comfortable bed. Club lounge is a bit disappointing, only drinks and a few basic snacks (cheese, crackers) were provided. All restaurants are all on the older wing, so it's a bit of a walk . Breakfast is quite chaotic (crowded), dated furniture, but has variety of different choices. Convenient location (close to train/shinkanshen/subway). Also, the near by Annex has a small Aquarium, great place to be if travelling with children. One thing, they no longer offer shuttle bus to Disney, however, it's quite fast to get their by train.
“old hotel”
hotel was ok but the airconditioning was switched off. Room temperature was about 27 C (80 degrees) The staff recommended to open the window which was very loud. so either it was very hot or very loud ....not very nice.
“A Positive Experience.”
During our visit to Japan we stayed in five hotels and this was by far the best. We found staff to be very helpful and if there was a communication problem they were willing to attempt many methods to aid our understanding. Initially we spent 5 nights and returned after a gap of 3 nights for a further 2 nights. During this time our excess luggage was stored at no extra cost. Even with this gap the quality of service remained consistent. The hotel is within reasonable walking distance of Shinagawa Station and this gave us easy access to key areas of Tokyo, kyoto, Numazu and Nagasaki. The only criticism of the hotel is the high cost of its restaurants but on the positive side there are many reasonably priced restaurants close to the hotel. When we return to Japan we would definitely consider a return to this hotel.
“Great location, very comfortable”
It was very good located, walking distance to train station, Friendly staff and always willing to assist. The garden is a must to see is like the post cards, some restaurant were closed but enough to choose in the surroundings, dont miss Singaporean restaurant next door, get Chili crab!!!

“Nice hotel in Shinagawa”
This is one of the many Prince hotels near Shinagawa station. Others include Prince Sakura Tower (a little higher end), Shinagawa Prince Hotel, and Grand Prince Hotel Takanawa (vs. New Takanawa). This one was a step up from the Shinagawa Prince, and a step down from the Sakura Tower. Check-in was a little nutty because of a big group ahead of me. There was also a long line at checkout, with only one agent helping. They could do a better job at the front desk, overall. Otherwise, the hotel is nice, about 6 minute walk up the hill from the train station (or take their free shuttle running twice per hour.)
“A haven at a stressful time”
Our stay at this hotel was unexpected. We had to change travel plans as our son was hospitalised on arrival in Tokyo. The staff at this hotel was wonderful they bent over backwards to help us in a very stressful situation - even with the language barrier. Nothing was too much. The hotel room was large compared to the other two Tokyo hotels we stayed at - very clean, comfortable and well appointed. The gardens spectacular - tranquil exactly what we needed to help sooth our stressed minds. Close to Shinagawa station. Would definitely stay here again if we ever go back to Tokyo. The only gripe was that the pools were closed although the weather was very warm.
“Great Hotel”
My daughter and I stayed at four different hotels during our two week trip to Japan. This was by far the best. The room was very comfortable with enough room for our 2 big pieces of luggage and a nice big bathroom. There was a reasonably priced breakfast of all you can eat soup similar to minestrone, coffee, orange juice and a choice of 3 bakery fresh pastries. This became one of the most filling meals we had because we found the food throughout Japan to be very expensive. The hotel provided a shuttle to and from Shinagawa train station which took you up and around several Prince hotels. It actually was an easy walk directly up the hill from the station so often we would walk. Mostly everyone spoke English and were very helpful. If I ever return to Tokyo, I will definitely stay at this hotel.
“Great Hotel! Great Stay!!”
Great service at front desk and also at tourist information center, the rooms are good sizes and comfortable, house keeping service is excellent, the rooms are very well maintained. Very close and walking distance to Shinagawa station which makes traveling around Tokyo very easy. Several restaurants around the area which is convenient, its also a nice quiet area too. Overall i was very pleased with my stay at the Grand Prince Hotel and would definitely stay here again.
