“Very clean, fantastic location!”
We stayed 2 nights in a non smoking room in winter of 2011. The room was small (but that is standard for Tokyo) We managed to fit 2 large bags comfortably. the room itself was extremely clean and we had fresh towels and cleaning service daily. There was no wifi, but you can connect your computer to the internetin your room if you have one, but the two computers in the loby were very convenient for us. The hotel is located just off the main road, and only about 200 metres walk from the JR Ueno sation. The area always felt very safe and there is a range of restaurants and small convenience stores close by. The Ueno markets are a must see while you are in the area, also the park on the other side of the tracks have many temples and shrines to visit. We were so happy with this hotel, we have re-booked it for our return to the area in a weeks time!!
“decent and cheap”
reasonable hotel and comfortable for the price. Would recommend.
“Nice and comfy”
Nice and close to JR Ueno and Keisei Ueno train station. Akihabara and the Tokyo Sky Tree are close by as well as the Asakusa Temple/Shrine. Easy enough to get to from the airport by either the Keisei Skyliner or by JR. Little bit tricky to find at first from the station but checking out the route in Google Streeview made it very easy to find. Plenty of places to eat nearby and close to the Zoo and several museums. Room/bed was quite comfortable. The staff's English was limited but sufficient and check in/out was a breeze.
“Great value.”
I stayed at the hotel for 10 days. For the cost its a great hotel. Its less than a 10minute walk from Ueno station. The staff are very helpful, most understood what you were saying. Maybe one or two had a poor grasp of English. My room was cleaned everyday, to a very high standard. My single room was very small, what do you expect at this cost. If the hotel had wifi than it would be almost perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel.
“Ueno Chisun”
Good location, easy to find and close to Ueno Station; quiet neighbourhood but extremely convenient (Inaricho Station just around the corner). Small but clean, comfortable room, pleasant staff. I'll definitely use this hotel again.
“Economy in Japan”
This hotel is very convenient to Asakusa and Kappabashi, the famous cook ware area in Ueno. As usual, train service is excellent although it is a bit of a walk to get there. It is located in a primarily residential area so it was quiet. It is a typical business hotel, designed to be economical and efficient.
“Incredible Honeymoon”
This is short but just know that Japan, ANA airline & the Chisun Hotel in Ueno are 3 things that can make a Honeymoon complete. Everything was Triple Gold Standard. Certainly not 5 star but for what it was their are no substitutes. Everything you need from a Hotel, Airline and Country. We both had an Amazing time and i wouldnt have changed anything! Would recomend all these 3 things to anyone looking for the experience of the lives!
“Great Place to Stay In Tokyo”
Hotel used mostly by Japanese, either business people during the week, and tourist from outside Tokyo The breakfast is fairly Japanese but there is also eggs, sausages fish, toast, OJ, coffee Ueno is a great area to be based out of. It's quiet and still easy to get to everywhere in Tokyo.
“Nice small hotel near Ueno station”
I liked this hotel a lot. The room was small but very clean and with everything necessary at hand. Perfect for the budget. Really a 10 minutes walk from Ueno station and easy to find. If you have a lot of luggage then you probably will need a taxi though. Breakfast buffet is very nice. The staff doesn't speak much English but if you write something for them they check translation online. Lots of small restaurants nearby, 7-11 shop, very convenient. Ueno park and famous little markets are close as well. I'd recommend it to people on business trips and tourists.
“Cheap but descent & hard to find”
An average hotel in a quieter area of Tokyo, near park and musems. Not in the best part of town as the homeless tend to hang out around the park, but I never felt unsafe being a lone female traveler. The hotel can be quiet difficult to find, even for cab drivers so be sure you know the address and an idea where it located.
