Best hotel I've ever stayed in

Posted 17-Apr-2014
Pros: Customer service is world-class. Everyone smiles and appears that it's truly a pleasure for them to serve you.
Cons: Bigger selection on the breakfast buffet.
Location: A couple of blocks from the Shibuya station. Narita Airport is far away, but Haneda airport was close and there's a bus that stops to take you there.
This hotel has incredible customer service and the room was clean, roomy for Tokyo, and conveniently located. Everything from the heated toilet seats with bidet to the wonderful city view made my stay memorable. The only thing I'd mention that is, in no way the fault of the Cerulean Tower Hotel, is that although the hotel is close to the Shibuya Station, it's across the highway and you have to go over the overpass and then back down, or walk pass the homeless camped out in the underpass to get from the station to the hotel. Lugging your bags throughout the enormous Shibuya station and then up and down the walkway is rough, especially when you've just gotten off a long flight from the US. Don't let that keep you away or you'll miss out on a great experience.

Excellent hotel, friendly staff, great location!

Posted 17-Apr-2014
Pros: Views, location, cleanliness, friendliness
Cons: Nothing
Location: Located in Shibuya, very vibrant (particularly at night), very safe, and very close to Shibuya station and metro
The hotel was very easy to access from the airport, a shuttle bus takes you directly from the either Haneda or Narita airport to the hotel. Once inside the hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I had a room on the 26th floor with a queen sized bed. The room was larger than expected and very clean as was the bathroom. The view from the room was incredible. The location of the hotel is also excellent, a 3 min walk to Shibuya stain allows easy access to almost anywhere in Tokyo, an being located in Shibuya is also excellent

Luxurious Stay in Shibuya

Posted 16-Apr-2014
Pros: Service was fantastic
Booked this hotel at a really reasonable price for a business/pleasure trip. Service was impeccable and really made our trip special. Room was perfect for us and had incredible views. Access to train station was so convenient. Only negative was that the hotel restaurants are very pricey so we chose to eat outside. Luckily there are only 10 million restaurants in Tokyo. Great place to stay. Not sure if we would have at regular prices.

Excellent hotel.

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Pros: We liked the view from the rooms, how big and comfortable the rooms were and the bathrooms.
Cons: The service at the restaurant.
Location: It is located within 200 m from the Shibuya JR station which is a shopping place for teens and young adults.
We stayed overnight. The rooms are very clean, very comfortable. The beds are full sizes and can accommodate two kids. Our flight was departing the next day at midnight and we asked to keep the room for extra hours. We were charged 30% of the daily rate and we were able to stay in the room until 6 pm. The restaurant next to the reception has a slow service but the food is OK. The pastry shop is amazing. The Italian restaurant at the 2 nd floor has good food and good service.

I needed to be in Shibuya - so absolutely perfect

Posted 12-Apr-2014
Pros: Location, location, location and great service.
Location: Close to Shibuya Station - excellent shopping and eating in Shibuya.
We were allowed to check in very early, no hanging around, and were in our perfectly appointed room on the 32nd floor by 10.00am. The room, by any standards, was large, the bath/shower room area huge. and the towels warm and fluffy. What more do you want after 24 hours of travel? We didn't eat in the hotel except for breakfast on our last day. The man at the pan knows how to make a mean omelette and the coffee was excellent. I had some difficult addresses to get to in the vicinity and the Concierge did sterling work in that regard, even making sure I had an English speaking driver! Would highly recommend the Cerulean Tower.

Excellent organisation, buffet; perfect location

Posted 10-Apr-2014
Pros: 1/ location 2/ modern upscale , Feng Shui interior design in a Western sort if way! 3/ buffet and croissants! 4/ helpful, efficient, numerous staff
Cons: 1/ Serve tea in a teapot. Not in a single small cup!! 2/ give FREE Wifi. Unpleasant and inelegant to charge for it. Not in this category of hotels
Location: 4/5 min walk to Shibuya Train station: excellent! Shibuya is one of the liveliest, trendiest and well connected (transportation) areas in Tokyo
We booked a 3 pers with view ( top floors) AND non smoking through Expedia and it was just perfect. - Hotel is modern and international up scale business like type: no major flaw, no personality either. Although, may be designed on Feng Shui principles in terms of ambiance and decor. - buffet is amazing and excellent quality. Croissants and all other viennoiseries, as well as patisseries: all authentically French, as the chef is French and it shows brilliantly. - beds: excellent comfort - view: amazing: Tokyo skyline impressive, with the iconic Tokyo Tower in the middle. - bathroom: clean, modern, super well equipped. - staff: numerous, professional, efficient and English speaking better than average. In Japan, it is a precious asset. Very helpful too: they accepted to keep 2 big suitcases for 4 days as we left for Kyoto and would come back only for 1 last night at this hotel afterwards. - location: 4 min walk from Shibuya Train station: unbeatable! - rooms are quiet and very well sound proofed. This is rare, even in this category of hotels. We would go back there. Seems to be the safest choice ever, for a relatively acceptable price for central Tokyo ( through Expedia special offers).

Nice hotel in great shopping district

Posted 06-Apr-2014
Nice spacious room with great view. Staffs in the hotel very helpful although they don't speak much English. Restaurants n bars in hotel very $$$. However, there are many many cafe, restaurants n bars within walking distance. Of course plenty of shopping too. The most convenience is airport limousine bus available right outside the airport arrival hall which bring you right to the door step of the hotel at 3000yen per way.

Classy Shibuya digs!

Posted 01-Apr-2014
Pros: views
Cons: Some Staff!
Location: close to Nakameguro and Daikenyama. Shibuya station busy and always seems under construction! Walk to Dogenzaka area and the famous Shibuya crossing.
Staff not overly friendly on arrival and the man in charge of 40th floor bar downright rude!! But things improved and enjoyed the hotel location fine was close to Nakameguro a great area and Daikenyama.
