“blue wave inn”

This is my 4th time staying at this hotel, and as always it was perfect. If your looking for a place that is in central Tokyo and easy to get then this is the place. Not only are you in a very historic area but just a train ride away from so many other places just waiting to see.

Area recommendations
I would recommend all arears being Tokyo has so much to offer, jump on a train and explore.

“Don't book a semi double”

We knew rooms in Japan are on the small side, our room , a semi double and was tiny even by Tokyo standards. It is really a single with a very small double bed. Only one person could walk around in the room at a time other had to stay on the bed. There was an 8 inch step to enter the very small bathroom. The staff was unhelpful and uninterested. The location is great, lots of restaurants and shops and near the subway. A real double room may be better but I can't recommend this hotel based on our experience and our room.

“It's okay”

Hotel is okay. Double room was more like a super small western single so tight quarters for two people but that can be the norm in Tokyo hotels. Hotel staff didn't speak much english but were friendly and helpful. Location is great - around the corner from Senso-ji and 5 minute walk to the metro. Place would be fine if you're travelling by yourself or you're a business traveller.

Area recommendations
Been to Toyko twice and absolutely love the city and the people. Would recommend Asakusa as a good place to get an introduction to the city. It's a beautiful area and way more relaxed than other sections of town. Prefer staying in Shinjuku because of the shopping and wider selection of hotels. Easy to get around the city from both areas though. Tokyo is the one major city I always feel safe in.

“Blue Wave Inn Asakusa (Tokyo)”

Budget-hotel, zeer geschikt voor 1 persoon of een intiem stelletje met weinig geld en lage verwachtingen. Qua ligging bijna ideaal, vlakbij een wijk vol met winkels, kraampjes en barretjes waar je alles kunt vinden wat je maar zoekt en een ambachtelijke koekjesbakkerij waar ze heerlijke koekjes bakken. Enige minpunt qua locatie was de verbinding met het centrum (indirect, met metro overstappen op tram).

Area recommendations
Akihabara, alles wat je maar zoekt op het gebied van electronica, games, muziek, anime enz. is hier te vinden. Van kleine schroevendraaiers tot industrial size ventilatoren, noem maar op.
