The lady owner was very welcoming. Our family suite entitled "The Apple Loft" was comfortable and full of character. The two bedrooms and bathroom were spotless and well appointed. The kingsize bed was very comfortable. However, the mattress on one of the single beds was not so comfortable and the bed squeaked every time our son moved! However, he soon fell asleep and a peaceful night was had by all. The hotel has the feel of a family home but is in need of some redecoration. It is located in lovely countryside on the outskirts of Tiverton and is clearly popular. We did not eat at the hotel in the evening, but the owner cooked us a lovely breakfast the following morning, although the service was a little slow as several guests came down for breakfast at the same time. Having said that, we did not mind waiting as our breakfast was freshly cooked. We will certainly stay at the Lodgehill Hotel again should we be returning to the Exeter area.
Very welcoming hosts in a gorgeous cottage in a peaceful rural location, not far out from town. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spotless but still welcoming - and I wanted to take the bathroom home with me, it was so luxurious! Food was excellent and we had a lovely view of pheasants, horses and rolling countryside to accompany breakfast. Thoroughly recommended.
We thoroughly enjoyed this little pub. It's in a serene area, great for walks, but not in a town just on a country road. Room was cute and cosy with the usual creaky floors. Dinner was delicious and breakfast nice.

John, who was looking after the Catle, was most welcoming and made our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Breakfast was average, ran out of croissants and OJ when we got to the table and they weren't restocked, but we were a little late and the room is rustic but could perhaps have been cleaner. Apart from these two minor (not really) complaints, the rest of the stay was excellent. Great setting and only a short walk to 3 pubs that were doing excellent food and drink.

We were in Devon to visit family. Brambles is in a lovely area probably best enjoyed in summer months. We didn't have much daylight to appreciate the countryside around. Easy to find from motorway. Helpful advice from David about attractions nearby. Thank you.
We stayed here because of the proximity to relatives we were visiting. It was comfortable, and spacious. The staff were helpful, pleasant and accommodating, even though they had only taken over seven weeks previously, and were sorting out minor issues such as the lack of breakfast menu. However this was not a problem, given that we were given the choice of whatever we wanted! The food was tasty, well cooked and presented, and, judging by the number of people eating here in the evening, I suspect that it will be a very popular eatery for the local population
This was an extremely last minute booking, and we were pleasantly surprised. Parking available at the rear of the property although there is a small town car park nearby which charges 50p in an honesty box! Room clean and tidy, new furniture, TV, tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of supplies, hairdresser etc. Breakfast was nicely cooked.
