“Friendly, clean hotel with great pool and breakfast”
We stayed at this hotel on a Friday night prior to a Saturday morning canyoning trip in Gordola. Upon arrival we went straight to the pool so the kids could work off the car trip. We had a nice dinner that night and extensive breakfast the next morning. Everything was perfectly smooth: check-in, parking, and check-out. Our suite was clean and spacious.
“Lugano Gem”
This is our second stay at Parco Paradiso and as with the first stay, we were not disappointed. Even though the location is not the greatest if you don't have a car, everything else in this hotel makes up for that. One exception, don't eat in their restaurants as they are extremely expensive. You can get more variety, similar quality, and better prices in downtown Lugano. Once again, we stayed in one of their largest rooms overlooking the lake and with a great terrace to relax and enjoy a cappuccino, glass of wine, or hot chocolate. The room was very comfortable and large enough for the four of us as it included to pull down beds (hidden in the wall) where my daughters slept. The breakfast is just great with everything you can think of including made to order omelettes, waffles, pancakes, etc. Would definetely recommend. We are staying there again during our next visit!
“Eat Elsewhere”
The hotel was just ok, nothing special. we had to take a smaller room from what we reserved because there are only 2, that's correcy 2, rooms with A/C!!! it was a 100 degrees F while we were there and we were charged fifty extra per night to have comfort. I ain't mad at um,,, :) that really was worth it with the temps, well kinda, it wasn't worth the $ for the room, but whatever, the A/C was worth it. The real problem as you can see with the title was the restaurant. HORRIBLE and over priced. Go downtown, go anywhere, just don't eat there! The bkfst buffet was fine, not great, but adequate, however $200 for horrible, terrible, awful service and food in the evening was despicable. There were plenty of equal hotels downtown (less of a walk to the city) that I would choose should I return, which I won't. Really though all in all, being an American that lives in Europe this is just an average hotel, with adequate service, nothing special. I have lived here 7 years and been to any major city that you can name and I would visit this city, but I wouldn't return to the paradiso when i do, OBTW it is only a 4 hour drive (door to door), so yes I will go back to Lugano.
“Will go back”
The hotel staff was very friendly. Good location, clean.
“Great View, Excellent Space for Family of 4”
We were travelling by train and this hotel was very easy to get to with public transportation, as well we found out they have a shuttle bus which we took back once we checked out. It was up on a hill so had a great view. We had our own room and the kids slept in the living room on two drop down Murphy beds. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had included in a hotel. WELL worth the price we paid and would highly recommend it. Only small downside was bed was a bit hard for my taste- but overall excellent!
“Very pleased”
Very warm and friendly staff. Free parking is a big plus. Very comfortable and great location.
“Don't go!”
This hotel has a cigar bar and the entire reception area stunk of cigar smoke. Even our suite has cigar smell. It's also poorly located for enjoying Lugano with a mediocre and over-priced resturant. To top it off, the staff was arrogant and impolite!
“Wonderful Place to Stay”
We booked a lake-view suite in this hotel for a wedding, and while much more expensive than we usually pay for hotels, it was only about 20 pounds per night more than a room elsewhere (Lugano seems to be an expensive town!). We stayed an extra night and really enjoyed the facilities (pool, steam, sauna, etc), plus amazing breakfast and friendly service. We had dinner one night in the Italian restaurant, not cheap but very good food, and drinks in the lake-view Havana cigar bar.
“Hotel Parco Paradiso in Lugano liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten.”
sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel für private und geschäftliche Reisen.
“Dieses Hotel bietet eine herrliche Aussicht auf den Luganer See”
Das Stadtzentrum von Lugano ist dafür aber circa 15-20 Gehminuten entfernt
