"This is a stunning hotel and the grounds are also spectacular and very nicely kept.
The rooms and food choices for evening meal and breakfast are also very good. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the staff from not clearing empty tables of empty glasses in both the bar and restaurant, despite a number of just staff walking by and not even looking at.
For example we had a night cap cocktail in the bar just after 10pm and it was fairly quiet, we was in the bar for about 30-40 minutes and the bar counter surface was stacked high with glasses and bottles bought from the main restaurant and there must have been 3-4 tables in the bar with empty glasses that also hadn't been collected even thought there were staff walking in and out of the bar and also staff at the bar not taking any orders - very poor to see. The same thing in the morning we had breakfast just after 9am and there was at least 3 empty tables for the duration we were there (45-50 minutes) with left cups, plates, bowls and cutlery not being cleared."

"An unexpected gem right in the heart of Sheffield! A perfect location….
Some lovely welcoming touches…..stayed in the newly-appointed suite! Tastefully decorated.
Love that fresh milk, biscuits & tea cakes were a plenty at the “re-stocking” stations on every floor!
Will definitely be back! "

"Great hotel, comfortable bed, had a gym.
Breakfast was really nice, good quality food.
The staff were extremely helpful and very cheerful.
One downside, and it was extremely disappointing, was the ability to charge my car. The Motna EV charging machines at the hotel simply would not charge mine and other guests’ cars.
This was a total joke and made me extremely angry. The EV charging companies are not taking maintenance and operation of their infrastructure seriously.
You have to own an EV to understand the stress and anger of not being able to charge."
