Extremely friendly and welcoming staff, who could speak English fluently. Well organised, rooms ready and clean, very nice food in restaurant and plenty of it. Pleasant footpath walking right outside and overlooking river and castle.
This delightful bed and breakfast in Brugge is only two years old, but the service and facilities are outstanding. Jason and Sandra Barnes, the proprietors, went out of their way to make our stay as pleasant as it could be.
very old hotel, very small room with a bed about twelve inches from the floor. Cannot say I was impressed and as such I consider the place very expensive - not value for money. Other accommodation in the area which I found after booking this one with expedia and all appeared much better.

This hotel was amazing. The couple that own the place were extremely accommodating and it was just out of the touristy area so it felt very quaint. The first breakfast was in bed. Huge germanic breakfast provided. Wonderful town.

Very nice hotel in a gorgeous setting in the woods in the hills above Cochem. A bit hard to find, even with GPS, as the address is on the main road, where another hotel sits. One must turn down the road and drive about 300 yards to find the hotel. The property is beautiful, with a stream running next to the hotel and a nice hiking trail that heads up into the hills. The hotel is quaint, with a lot of old world charm. The rooms are recently remodeled, with nice modern bathrooms. The only downside to the rooms is the smell of cigarette smoke permeating the hallways and seeping into the rooms a bit at times. But we found that during our 2 weeks in Europe, smokers are everywhere, and I think we were immune to it by this time!
The rooms are decent size by European standards, with nice views of the woods or hills. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Be advised, like many European hotels, the beds are 2 twins pushed together, so it makes it a bit tough to "snuggle" without the beds sliding apart and creating a divide! The rooms were also quiet, with no noise or sound from outside coming in.
The hotel has ample free parking and is only 5 minutes ride Cochem. We had no problem finding parking in Cochem on a summer weekend. It looked like a shuttle bus is available for 2 Euro per person, one way. We were able to park in Cochem for less than than it would have cost to ride the bus.
A nice quiet get away - highly recommended for couples or families.
