“Fab Stay”

Although only a 1 night stay we were very impressed with both the service and the room quality.. I must say that the receptionists expertise and friendliness were excellent and that, in our opinion, the customer was certainly 'The King'. The room was spotless,modern and of nice size and included free wifi at high speed. We had choices of bath or shower and were delighted that we had a view of the fountains in the main square. I asked for ice via the telephone and the same receptionist delivered it herself to the room within 5 minutes !! Overall we were delighted.

“Great Hotel, free Wi-Fi, Helpful Staff”

The Mercure is in a great location, within easy walking distance of all attractions, with tram links directly outside for those who prefer public transport! The room was comfortable, with a fantastic shower (both rain shower and handheld - almost unheard of in European hotels!). The free Wi-Fi was also an added bonus, and the breakfast (additional cost) was also very good. All in all, a great hotel that I would happily recommend.

“Definitely back again”

Reception was very friendly and helpful. Location was excellent very close to Museums, shopping, train station, and tram stops. Room was clean and comfortable. One of the best hotels I ever have stayed. I will definitely use this hotel when I have a chance to go back to Den Haag again.

“Good central hotel”

Excellent 4 star hotel in central Den Haag. Near to plenty of restaurants, which was important as the food in the hotel was limited and very poor. Easy access and on tram route. Another downside was cost of parking - an additional 25 Euros a day.

“Recommended”

We stayed for 3 nights in February 2011 for a long weekend break. the hotel is 10 minutes walk from Den Haag Central Station, and 5 minutes from the main shopping area. The room was simple, stylish, and clean, the bed was very comfortable. We had one meal at the "restaurant", in reality the bar, the choice was limited but the quality of the food was good. Breakfast was excellent, a wide choice of hot and cold food. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Area recommendations

From the hotel walk North East along Spui for short distance. On the left is Grote Markstraat the main shopping street. A short distance further on the left is Spuistraat with more shops and on the right is Lange Poten which leads to some nice restaurants. The small side streets to the north of Grote Markstraat are worth exploring for coffee and food. Most of the cultural and historical attractions are within easy walking distance.

“Convenient - will go again”

Very central location - 10 minute walk from Den Haag Centraal and five from main shoppping area. Next door to concert hall. Clean and functional - excellent buffet breakfast. If you want to visit Den Haag and all its joys couldn't find a more convenient location.

Area recommendations

Used to live near Den Haag so very familiar with the city. Would recommend it - excellent museums, concert halls etc. Good shooping area. Convenient base for visiting other cities/areas.

“No complaints”

A pretty standard Mercure hotel, which actually I mean as a compliment. The room was fine; the breakfast was good; and the location was very convenient.

“Want to go back again!”

The breakfast at the hotel is great. The location is very good and easy to get to places and train stations. It is next to the public library which has free wireless internet service. There is the best Chinese restaurant next door. I will go back again for sure.

“Check everything works”

Good location, nice big room. Most of the channels on the TV either not working at all or very bad picture quality. Minibar was empty, you have to go to ground floor and buy stuff from reception which can be a pain in the middle of night if you are thursty. Air-con smelling of cigar smoke in the non-smoking room - probably the guest next door was smoking :(
