“Nice Hotel”
Small with freindly service but all usual 5* amenities available. Centrally located, clean, tidy with a mix of old and modern decor.
“Den Haag”
Spent two nights at the Carlton and would highly recommend it. They had a beautifully decorated bathroom with Delft tiles. Very convenient to tram lines, train station and centrum. Some of the nicest coffee shops within walking distance
“A great place to visit”
I am glad that I chose the Carlton Ambassador for my visit the The Hague. This is a very charming, older hotel that is quite comfortable and provides a good level of service. The location is very convenient to the downtown area. The room was comfortable. I found the service friendly and efficient throughout. The front desk was friendly and helpful, as was the food service in the dining room (for lunch) and the bar (for late night snack and drink).
“Charming hotel and friendly staff”
We recently stayed at this hotel and loved it. The rooms are very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well appointed. The staff were lovely. The breakfast was fine but very expressive but so is all restaurant dining in the Netherlands. The hotel is out of the way but an easy walk into downtown (about 20 minutes to the train station - it should cost about 8-9 Euros for a taxi if you don`t want to lug your luggage), and about a 25 minute walk to the beach through a beautiful park. You can of course take transit but why would you when you can walk through the beautiful Dutch gardens. It was really lovely and we highly recommend it.
“Carlton Ambassador-Den Haag”
The friendly, multi-lingual staff and quaint design of this hotel make it a delightful place to stay. Unlike most US hotels, the hallway width seems to vary every time you go around a corner and you'll find small up and down stairways intersecting at unexpected places. All of this give the Carlton Ambassador a unique feel. The room was very comfortable, but I was there in winter and it took me a while to figure out how to manage the temperature using the radiator. The only drawback was that it was further from the World Forum than I would have liked. However, that can be solved by a short taxi ride, a street car, or brisk walk All in all I had a wonderful experience and would certainly book a room there again
“Job well done !”
My wife and I were very satisfied with the Carlton Ambassador Hotel in Den Hague. The room was very good ... the breakfast, though pricy, was superior, and the location, right across from the Canadian Embassy ,was just right for an easy walk/bus/trolly to any attraction.Parking was free and easy to deal with. Everyone made a point of speaking to us as we left and returned from touring. Here's a hint: although all Hotels there are non-smoking...if you ask for a room with a balcony that problem resolves itself. Oh yes, the pillows were quite satisfactory for us as Americans...don't bother bringing your own...not needed. They also have the daily International Herald Tribune available free at the desk 6 days a week...very nice. Book this Hotel for a great, relaxed and classy few days...Harry in Wiesbaden
“The right pick for my trip”
I was very pleased with this hotel. It was close enough to the center to conveniently walk there, yet not too close to be bothered by noise and crowding. It is on a quiet, pleasant street very close to trams that run to Scheveningen and Delft. The decor is charming, the personnel are exceptionally polite and helpful. The bathroom had a grand tub and separate shower stall. It was impeccably clean. The bed was very comfortable. Overall, I was very happy with my choice and I would recommend it highly, especially for the very fair price.
“BEST HOTEL I HAVE STAYED IN”
Great service , great hotel , great location. Room was good size , clean , with everything you need. People were super friendly and it was real close to city (5-10 mins)and a 10 min drive to beach
“Will stay there next time.”
This is a lovely old hotel in a quiet neighborhood near the Peace Palace. It is walking distance to the busiest parts of The Hague. Use tram #1 to go to the Strand.
“Classy Old-World Hotel”
Location on the western side of Den Haag allows easy access to the city on foot, or to the street tram to Scheveningen. Hotel is located amongt various Embassies, so the staff is accustomed to providing a high level of service. Room was nicely furnished, and very quiet. Parking will be bit challenging during the week, but no problem on the weekends. Hotel has a small lot, but it fills quickly. Definitely a great location from which to explore Den Haag and the surrounding area!
