Hello Flora,Unfortunately, last night, many guests showed up at the same time, and we had to take our guests to their rooms. I apologize that I was not there at the moment you were trying to check-in. We have phone numbers posted at the front desk. You can contact us anytime. We have one room that has a bathroom two steps down the hall that is private to the room. This room with a double bed is advertised as such. Many people want to rent a room on the first floor because of disabilities, or because they have a small dog that they might want to let out on the porch/lawn nearby. Many people like this room.We don't have wine in the library. We offer sherry or port in the library. The sherry glasses surrounding the glass canister are always clean, and when our guests finish drinking their sherry, they leave their glasses on the tray, below, for me to pick-up. We have rented this room with a double bed all season long without a complaint. So, I am sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. Also, you missed a full breakfast that people love. I hope that you can enjoy the Berkshires while you are visiting Western Massachusetts.

We are slowly replacing some of them, although diamond shaped leaded are authentic to the house, and those will not be changed. We do have power outlets throughout the house. Hello Vlad, Thanks for the kind words about our inn. Our bathrooms are standard with a toilet, sink, tub and shower. We have one old fashioned bathtub that is large and as old as the house itself. People tend to like that bathtub even though it is an antique. We serve a buffet breakfast which includes quiches, tortilla Español (eggs, potatoes, onions, olive oil), whole made muffins, cakes, croissants, english muffins, toast, cereal, various types of fruit, orange juice, coffee, tea... We also have gluten-free whole grain toast. Some of our pastries are wrapped because some people are still wary of Covid, and they want their items wrapped. We feel that we serve a substantial breakfast. Guests can always ask for items that they don't see in the buffet, such as eggs, any style. If we can provide what a guest asks for, we will do that.

Hello Michael, I appreciate your comments. The duct tape was temporary. The towel rack had just broke. We were not able to repair it properly while you were in the room. I apologize about that. As for the breakfast, I alway have cream for coffee. Many times people ask me for milk instead because of the fat content of cream. I try to please everyone, but sometimes they don't say what bothers them until after the fact. Also, most guests actually make comments that our coffee tastes good. So, I am a bit surprised about your comment. According to Covid guidelines, we are not supposed to have a buffet at this time because of Covid. We have been serving individualized breakfasts instead. We thought that people would prefer personal service because we have been preparing items such as omelets filled with vegetables and cheese, as well as French toast which are not usually a part of buffet-style breakfasts. We do offer cakes, donuts, and muffins. We can serve just about anything. You could have inquired. I asked what you would like for breakfast. I gave you a choice of any style eggs, French toast, pancakes, bagels, croissants, etc. I am sorry if you did not get what you expected. My suggestions is that if something bothers you, please mention it, and your wishes may come true.
