The location is great. Just across the street from MASS MOCA. Room was very comfortable with an incredible view of downtown North Adams and mountains.

Good place to stay

Posted 27-Apr-2014
Pros: Pool and hot tub kept the boys happy. We enjoyed a family game of ping pong too :)
Location: MCLA is just up the street, Mass MoCA around the corner, Main Street with all the interesting galleries and shops is right there.
We needed a couple of nights near MCLA and have stayed here before. It isn't the newest of facilities and the hallway seemed like it could do with some TLC but the rooms were spotless and the beds comfy. The staff were super friendly and helpful. We were on the second floor right by the roof and heard some machine noise early in the morning, I thought it might be the vents. The kids didn't notice and slept without problem.

Hotel near Williams College

Posted 06-Apr-2014
Pros: Near Williams College
Cons: Everthing, staff, facilities. Hotel needs a renovation. Is quite expensive for what you get.
Location: North Adams is not a great town and we had a tough time finding a restaurant that was open on a Tuesday night.
I think this hotel overbilled itself. I was ok, not really worth the money. It was close to the college we were seeing, so that was good. The town is a former mill town and hasn't recovered. There are not a lot of places to eat. I don't know what the alternatives are as Williamstown is very small and also has few places to stay. The staff was not very nice. This was our only experience with 4 hotels in Mass and Maine where the staff was not extremely pleasant. Maybe we caught them on a bad day.

Smell in bathroom

Posted 18-Mar-2014
Pros: room nice and clean
Cons: pillows uncomfortable
Location: public restaurant is best. just go up to either pickup or drop off son to college
Normally I love this hotel but there was a horrible odor in bathroom upon arrival and never left bathroom. The bathroom sink also drained very slowly. I told front desk and they apologized.

The staff was exceptional including the front desk and cafe staff. Everything was professionlaly extended to us. Great stay!

Reasonable room for a reasonable price.

Posted 19-Feb-2014
Pros: The hotel was clean and the staff friendly. Nothing fancy but a good value for the price. Breakfast was much better than dinner.
Cons: The restaurant menu (dinner) was a bit limited and the food sub par. It would also be great if you expanded your selection of beers.
Location: We ended up here because we could not get a room closer to Mount Snow and this was on our way home. As a result, we did not really explore the area.
I stayed here with my two sons on our way home from skiing in Southern Vermont. The hotel was clean and the price was reasonable.
