“Treasure Cay Resort 2011”

The room was full of ants, we sprayed and sprayed. The box spring and mattress was horrible, it was stained with wet and mildew. My husband sleep on that side because I couldn't. I took a picture but I can't seem to get it to paste here.

Area recommendations
All of it, the Bahamas are beautiful all over the Islands.
When to go
I would go for summer in May and June, but will be alot of people. If you want exclusion and privacy then I would go 1st or 2nd week of September.
Getting around
We rented a Golf cart for the week and it got us everywhere, and no gas needed and then have places right by your room to charge them everynight.
Outdoors or beach
I went to CoCo Beach, it's great and has a bar and resturant. My husband and I had the beach to our selves at the point.

“amazing beach!”

the beach is really wanderful, this 3 star hotel has lots of potential, however, the rooms need much renovations, I like the fact that I could dock my rented boat in front of my room and leave early in the morning to the islands nearby, visit great guana cay has the best beaches! treasure cay beach is 5 minutes walk from the hotel across the road

“Ideal for a romantic getaway”

This hotel was more than I expected. After reading reviews online, I really did not expect much from this hotel. I was definitely impressed. Maybe it was the fact that the beach was so magnificent, everything else was pale in comparison. My husband and I enjoyed the Resort so much, we decided to stay another night. We will recommend this hotel to all that is looking for a remote getaway.

Area recommendations
If you want to see more action in Abaco, I recommend that you rent a car and drive into Marsh Harbour.
When to go
During off season, June through September you can get some great rates.

“Nice Hotel”

My husband and I stayed here July 2011 for a couple days while we waited on our departure flight back to the US. Everyone was super friendly and somewhat helpful. Our room, which faced the marina, was nice. It looked much like the website pics. Thankfully the ac worked well. There was a 19" or so tv that had cable. The room was clean and nice considering your in the bahamas. The beach was beautiful and a short walk away. I would stay here again.

“Turquoise water and white sand beaches”

The hotel room was OK, clean, but the maid service was spotty at best. Sometimes they forgot things like toilet paper and refills for the coffee bar. While it was nice to have Air Conditioning, there was no way to turn it up or down it was on full blast all the time. The location is close to shopping and restaurants (limited and costly) but the beach and water activities and access (at a price) to neighboring islands is fabulous. My husband walked for an hour on the beach every morning - alone. It is an uncrowded place to vacation, at least in February when we went. We will go back!

Area recommendations
Go fishing and island hopping. We took the ferry from Marsh Harbour to Hope Town - I would recommend this. We also took a boat to Great Guano Cay it was fun as well but fishing was the most fun, you just never know what you're gonna reel in!

“"A relaxing and restful vacation spot"”

The atmosphere was so beautiful. Everyone was so friendly and inviting. It was nice and relaxing during the day and a lovely time at night. Nothing more to say, but it was a lovely hotel, beach, and island.

Outdoors or beach
While you are there, you have to go on a ferry to the outter islands. Its like another get away for the day. Experience a totally different, yet still beautiful island. There are locals who can tell you what to do and restaurants with delicious food. I went to Guana Cay and would most definitely do it again.

“Good Hotel and big bang for your dollars !”

I went to Abacos Island to return a large sailboat to the US. I went down several days early to meet another crewmember and we had a most excellent time. Between Bonefishing and Tarpon fishing on the flats along with the great swimming, this was a great break from the madness of our NY lifestyles. Treasure Cay Hotel Resort and Marina was a great deal at summer rates now for very good service and accommodations. I will go back again and stay at this Abacos location the next time I delivery another boat back to the US. Trip was a 8 or 9 out of 10 overall. That is pretty dam good..

Area recommendations
Marsh Harbor and other outside city resort areas.
When to go
I suggest you go starting the last week in May. That is when summer rates can or may take effect and you get excellent value for your dollars in the off season. The Hotel appreciates the off season business too. That was apparent and the staff was most appreciative. The temps were just great and the water temperature was the best as it was not hot and still had a slight chill on first dive in. You can stay in the water all day long after five minutes.
Dining
The dining overall was excellent in the standard established resort areas. The highest level of dining I experienced was at the Abacos Club Resort in Marsh Harbor. Pricing was in line with that level of service but this was a most excellent dining experience. The staff was well above standard service with their service and even their dress code/appearance very high. Treasure Cay Hotel Resort and Marina was also very good with very good service and more of a outside the city atmosphere. It is about 20 miles from Marsh Harbor by rental car or taxi. All other hotels, food establishments and marinas were good also. I enjoyed everything I experienced and was overall very satisfied.
Outdoors or beach
Great, great and great ! Very fine white sand at Treasure Cay Hotel Resort beaches. Each day small infant Tide Runners and Permit would come swim with us. The water was incredible and that alone will make your trip a 8 or 9 of 10.

“All right”

Front desk wasn't as helpful as I have experienced other places. One room was very musty smelling but I was able to clear it out. Over all Treasure Cay was a nice place with friendly people.
